S7 MCampbell wrote:Hardcore is great and this is why, I feel it takes to many shots to down someone with a regular weapon on normal mode, but I feel the same way in the other shooter games. But I can tell you those arrows take away the fun, plus when you sit back and snipe and call in a motar strike you can destroy a whole squad. I play normal with people in the clan who are already playing when I join but if I am ever on by myself or start a squad myself I play hardcore. Plus the kill cam is gone also

Myself, Cass and Diehard won about 5 or 6 rounds in a row on hardcore and Cass had about 25 kills, from the same spot.

I'll be playing exclusively hardcore. So, hopefully i'll join you when my game arrives. It would've been here today but the retailer fucked up the delivery and it to my home address, i'm getting it posted on today, so i'm hoping it'll be here tomorrow.

I have played both and feel the same hard core seems a bit better as far as killing someone is more like mw2.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Page 4 Empty Do I really?

Post by S7 Coolhand Fri Mar 05, 2010 9:21 am

Do I really need to go out and buy this one today? Is it that badass? I love vehicles too but how many FPS do I need? I'm not asking which is better. I'm trying to gauge everyone elses interest in this game. Are you going to play it for a month then let it collect dust or trade it in? Or does it have staying power with the clan?

Well, it's really a completely different animal. It's squad based with vehicles, so much different than MW2. I haven't played the single player yet, but the single player in the first one was very good. I took it as a must purchase, but then again I like to have 2 games to go back and forth between, and I have nothing else right now. We are trying to support the game, so it should have some staying power.

Its def worth picking up. It's diff enough from MW2 to give things as nice change of pace. I'm enjoying the single player, but the MP is where its at. I love conquest mode...well I love any mode that takes me away form my awful TDM skills...lol. Does everyone have the VIP code for those extra maps?

Just got the M 416. That gun is pure win. Does more damage than the Xm8, and has about the same recoil. Only down is it's 5% slower on firing rate than the Xm8. It's a shame I'm so close to finishing my assault class. Good thing I have a lot left to go on all my other classes.

Cool hand I know a few people that are willing and able to play this game for awhile so I don't see it going anywhere till the end of summer when we get our Fall releases. Like Miller said it's a nice change of pace with different tactics in the game play, maps are well thought out this game already has DLC and more to come starting next week so its getting plenty of support I love it especially on Hardcore mode I see myself playing for months to come. A decent Leveling up system with some cool weapons and gadgets along with true team work make this game awesome I would say at least rent i if your still on the fence and make your choice then or go the other route and trust us when we say it's a solid game with tons of replay value.

Just ordered it off Amazon from the drivers hole in the Stryker. (gotta love the iPhone). Better get off before my NCO kills me. Should be there when I get back, only 10 days left!

Well I get done with this deployment simulation training next Sunday, get back to my german home, and work alot for a few weeks prepping all of our stuff for Afghanistan, then I should be smooth sailing for a few more weeks, I come back to the states for a couple of weeks in May, and we should deploy in June for a year.
