Got my shiny new iPhone
Well, I've been with Verizon for some time and I've been waiting quite some time for the iPhone as there have been rumors for years. I was about to pull the trigger on a Droid X back in Jan and then lo and behold Verizon made the announcement. So I am in iPhone bliss.
I used to have a palm treo that was very old and it really didn't have much to it app wise. Outlook, excell, word and a couple other things. But WoW, all the apps that are available are mind boggling.
So any recommendations on Apps that you've found useful or neat....
Also, any clan members playing any multiplayer games on their iPhone? I saw one called NOVA 2 that looked interesting and supported 10 person multiplayer.

Re: Got my shiny new iPhone
yeah, my next purchase will be an iPad. But prolly not till the iPad 2 this summer. Then after that I'll be getting a new laptop and it will be a mac.
Latest rumors for apple now are an iPhone nano and a revamped free mobileMe service.

Infinity Sword is a must
Aralon HD is amazing for any open-world RPG fan
Sacred Odyssey is a surprisingly good 3D Zelda clone
GTA: CW, pretty self-explanatory there
Plants Vs Zombies is a very very fun, creative strategy game if you haven't played it before
ChuChu Rocket is a Dreamcast classic that plays great on iPhone
Real Racing 2 is the best racing game available with really fun multiplayer
NBA Jam, the newer version not the classic arcade but still tons of fun
Tilt To Live is kinda Geometry Wars with a twist in that you can't actually shoot anything lol, still my most addictive game
Texting of the Bread is a Typing of the Dead clone where you type words to kill cookie zombies
Super Monkey Ball 2, always good fun
Battleheart, just picked this one up and love it so far. Plays and looks like a squad-based real-time RPG version of Castle Crashers

Hell has officially frozen over!
As far as apps, depends on what you wanna do...
I replaced certain main screen apps with what I believe are better versions:
Camera switched for ProCamera HD
Clock switched for Nightstand
Notes switched for Evernote (Springpad is another solid option).
Google Maps switched for MapQuest (has free GPS)
Now for the apps
All the regular social media apps: Facebook, Osfoora or Tweetdeck twitter clients, Foursquare, AIM or IM+ Pro for chat clients
Photography: in addition to Procamera HD, Photocalc, Flickr, Photobucket, Photostudio (for editing)
Productivity: Drop Box, Mobile wi-fi finder, Pastebot, Convertbot, 1Password, iMovie
News: HuffPost, NPR, BBC, CNN, Instapaper
Tech News: Mashable, TUAW, iDygest, Engadget, G4
Music-Radio: Pandora, LastFM, TuneIn Radio, SoundHound or Shazam
Lifestyle: Stabucks Mobile card (use your phone to pay), GameStop Game Offers, Groupon, Apple Store
Movies: Fandango, Netflix, IMDB
TV: Hulu Plus, Discovery
Sports: Fox Sports, ESPN Score Center
Food: Yelp, Urbanspoon, Allrecipies
Games: Angry Birds (to own your soul), Dungeon Hunter, Peggle, real racing, FieldRunners, BFBC2 --I have more games on my iPad, which is just a better format for some games.
Re: Got my shiny new iPhone
Personally, Angry Birds isn't even in my top 30 iPhone games. I don't hate it, but I just don't think it's a great game.
