Two Worlds 2 Empty Two Worlds 2

Post by S7 Interseptor Tue Jan 25, 2011 11:57 am

It's out today. I have it on my Game Q but I am still a little on the fence due to the horrible reviews of the first game. Anyone thinking about picking this up? What do you guys think?

Two Worlds was an AWESOME game. With the worst engine in history. I remember wandering by some lava streams and a mountain of rocks exploded into a giant dragon that attacked me. It would have been super Epic had it been above 5 fps. This one may be good, I'll wait for reviews but the graphics look sweet.

I liked the first one, even if it was basically "broken" from the get go. I will probably pick this one up too. I was thinking it came out next week- so thanks for the heads up!

I believe it was already released in Europe, so maybe there are some online reviews about it.

Looks good - I like the spell creation, customization. Depending on reviews, SP length, and multiplayer, I may buy it, but at least will rent it.

LOL, sounds like a bad acid trip...

I might get this one. Looks like it could be interesting.

Joystiq released a review. 3/5 stars. Sounds like the mechanics are better than the previous but still a bit glitchy. Their big thing was customization. Which apparently is hard to learn, but fun enough that once you get it down you'll be hooked on the game.

That may be the most entertaining review I have ever read. Well worth a read even if you're not interested in the game.

Two Worlds was a great game and just like atrum said the engine was crap. I have seen the engine they us in this game it makes it a completely different game, I am hoping to at least rent it and get a taste.

So does anyone have it yet that can give me their impressions? I was thinking about getting it, but doesn’t Torchlight (or whatever the Diablo clone for XBLA is called) come out soon. I don’t know if I need both action RPGs at the same time.

Hey Atrum, I have to agree that Two Worlds was a great game with a horrible engine. The multiplayer aspect of it was a refreshing addition but by the time I'd obtained the game from GameFly, everyone played it out. I really liked the involved single player game. I'll have to GameFly this one too. I may keep it like I did the first one.
