Summer of Arcade

Who has picked up some of the "Summer of Arcade" games on XBLM? I tried out some of the demos last night, and might pick a few up.

Castlevania is a blast, much like SOTN. I'm getting that one for sure.

Tomb Raider/Lara Croft looks cool too. The demo was great even in single player, with a nice balance of tricks/traps, puzzles, fighting, and platform play. I'm going to get this one as well, and I think multiplayer will make it even better.

HydroThunder is the same as it always was, which is a blast. Still, i don't see shelling out $15 for it.

I haven't played the other two demos yet (Limbo and Monday Night Combat), but if you buy 3 you get 400 pts back. So that would make one of those games (or hydro thunder) 800 pts instead of the 1200. Still, I think they should be priced lower to begin with, and have a hard time coughing up the point for something I’ll probably only play for a week or two.

I played the Limbo demo and liked it a lot. I also want to get Lara Croft but I have not played it yet. Those are the only two I am thinking about. My real problem is disk space. I really don't have the room to get these. I really need to upgrade my HD or get the new slim. I am tired of the 20gb crap!

Ditto on the 20gb. Limbo demo was ok; original but kinda limited. I was thinking of picking up the Lara Croft also.

Yeah I know your pain Interseptor. I used to only have a 20gb hard drive too, and I had to constantly keep taking games off my hard drive to make room for other games. Personally, I would try to look around a cheap 120gb. I got mine for $25 bucks, unfortunatly though I can't remember where from.

Anyway, I will be most likely picking up Monday Night Comabt, because it looks like a fast and entertaining shooter, and also the visual style is close to a game I love, Team Fortress 2. I might also pick up Limbo, I've seen the game, but I have not played the demo yet. Lara Croft is a must-buy, but I'll have to see if I money for it.

Co-op will not be available for Lara Croft until late September bro.

I heard the co-op would be available Sept 28.

well that blows. oh well, i haven't played it yet so i guess i probably wont until then.

Same thing happen to me they've been advertising co-op play since the game has been announced back in June.

Now I have to wait another month for the online co-op patch

Does it currently have the two player (on the same console) co-op, but just not the "online" co-op?

I picked up Castlevania if anyone else has it and wants to do co-op. I will probably get Lara Croft closer to the multiplayer patch. I'm still undecided about Monday Night Combat.
