Well I'm glad they didn't do anything stupid like hand their championship to Auburn or OU - we didn't earn it. I do think they should vacate it though.

The article says they lose 20 scholarships and are banned from the bowls for 2 years. 20 scholarships sounds like a lot to me.

Now lets see what the NCAA does about their other high-profile paid-to-play athlete, OJ Mayo.

I just feel bad for the poor kids who dreamt of going to USC to play football, and now they're finally there and can't even attend a bowl game. I hate seeing the NCAA punish the kids who have nothing to do with what happened, but I don't really see any other way.

Wait, half those good players are actually FROM the state anyway, they just thought that playing out in CRAPifornia would guarantee them playing time since so many great players are already on campus at FSU, U of Miami, and U of Florida.
