Fear the Walking Dead

Premier is tonight. If you are reading this, go set the DVR now!

Saw the ep. First 5 minutes is good, last 10 minutes is good, the middle... is pretty slow.
Not a bad thing necessarily, they're just building things up. Next week should really ramp up.

Couple questions:
1.) Is this series by the same group as Walking Dead?
2.) Is it necessary to watch to keep up to date with Walking Dead?
3.) Is it going to run the same time (fall/winter) as Walking Dead or will it be a summer show?

No not the same group this is based in los angeles, and it starts at the very begining of the outbreak so no need to keep up to date. And right now it looks like its going to run before the walking dead as there's a 1 week gap between when this show ends and the walking dead starts

I haven't been keeping up with the Walking Dead but this new series does seem interesting. With the original series of WD they were some what restricted in what they could do and still be true to the comics. With this entire new series they have 100% freedom which can be a huge bonus or shitstorm depending on how great the writers are. Either way I look forward to getting back into both WD series soon.

If you like Walking Dead you'll enjoy this series. They writers have said there will be "No woods" - so the whole series will be in a much different environment, at least for this season.

Yea it was a slow start but needed to introduce the series. I'm liking the fact that when this takes a break the regular walking dead will be back and they can take turns being on. The two shows are not tied in other than the fact that they are in the same "world".

Good to know, might have to give this a try.
