ESO delayed on the Xbox and ps4

Reports today are saying that it will be delayed on the Xbox one and the ps4. This would suck but if in the end the game is better and more ready then that is ok I guess.

Six more months huh? That would quite the wait for those who were planning to get it next month.  Just wait for an official announcement.

Yeah 6 months would suck. True it isn't official so I will cross my fingers and hope for the best

On the bright side I guess it looks like I'll be getting Watch_Dogs now, lol.

Yeah, if the delay is true, I will be a lot more likely to get Watch_Dogs (was probably gonna get it anyway).  It's nice to be able to take you time with games like this.

ESO on consoles - update

Sucks but I guess this is the first time any game of this magnitude has been put on a console. 6 months just in time for the holidays. Ironic I think not.

The real bad news is that if Destiny keeps to it's schedule of a Sept release and it also ends up being as good as I hope, it could effect my decision to buy.
(Not to mention the Division if it makes a holiday release.)

Totally agree with this.  I really think this delay just killed ESO for consoles.

Not sure if they killed it or not but I was really looking forward to killing the summer lull with ESO.  This really sucks.

I just think that the game simply wasn't ready to be released yet, at all.  PC included.  I feel they should have held addition betas to polish out some of the mechanics and defects of the game before releasing.

I do believe that this will spell trouble for console sales with many anticipated games coming out for the Xbox One and PS4 during this six month gap.  This will also make it a holiday release, so there will likely be other games around the holidays as well that ESO will need to compete with.  Releasing in June would have been great because they would have been ahead of the game with not many games releasing in the Summer.

Yeah June would have been great to fill that summer down time. Watch dogs and destiny it is. Go preorder destiny and get in on that beta it will be in July. I don't think division has a real release date yet and I'm sure we will hear more on that at e3. Maybe we will get a console beta for ESO in June at least.

Yep, now that ESO has dropped off the list for the foreseeable future I actually just pre-ordered Destiny.  If nothing else for the beta and then I can decide if I want to keep it or not.  But even if I want to buy it in the end I'll probably still cancel the pre-order and just get it digitally.

I want to get it digitally as well.  I have been hoping for PSN to allow pre-order prior to the beta but if not I will probably do the same and just pre-order from Amazon, then cancel later to get the digital copy.

In a related note, I can pre-order Transistor on PSN which comes out May 21st I think so there is hope for pre-ordering Destiny digitally.

What I really didn't like reading is they will allow free character transfers from PC to console.  Now even if I get it at launch there will be players with an 8 month head start.

Yep, not good (for me at least).  I don't think that was a good decision at all.  I don't want to start a new game knowing I'm already that far behind.

You still need to pay about $20 for the Xbox One or PS4 version when transfering, and you also get another 30 days.  But it doesn't seem right to have people come in with high level gear and whatnot which can disrupt the economy. When FF14 released new servers during the PS4 launch, they did not allow existing characters who played on PC and PS3 to transfer to the new servers because that would give an unfair advantage, so they would open up transfers at a later date. Also for ESO, if you take up this "deal" and play on the PC, then you'll probably be committed to guilds and whatnot during those six months, so I'd think that many people would end up just sticking with PC.

I honestly hadn't even thought of that.  That does kind of suck but it really shouldn't effect me much.  I plan on playing with my bros, none of which will be any fur4ther than I am so it's all good.

Crap! I was wanting this to me my summer game. Now I will stick to Diablo.

That means there will be more of my PS4 bros to play some Watch Dogs with this summer.  I might ask for ESO now that it's coming out for Xmas.

Also, Last of Us Remastered is still slated to release this summer, just doesn't have a solid date yet.
