Microsoft to Pull Complete Reversal on Xbox One DRM Policies

Maybe it was a double negative and he was calling Coolhand really smart! Think of that? Who feels silly now? But seriously, anyone who think what MS did was a brilliant marketing strategy is a little slow. They spent millions upon million on advertising and two separate conventions/reveals. Got a sh1t TON of bad PR and were trounced so badly by Sony and the consumers they had to completely reverse EVERYTHING they stood for. Brilliant!

What's annoying, is even with the reversal the XBO would have had a BIG upperhand IMO with the Family Share. It already made things moderately close. Making the DRM policies the same AND having Family Share would have been amazing.

Lets keep it clean in the public section yall.  I know we are passionate about our gaming and consumer choices, so lets stick to arguing those points.

I don't think MS planned it, but I do think they are still making headlines and spurring interest, garnering more free advertisement and creating discussions like this.

I was just in GameStop today and the guy was trying to get me to preorder a next gen when I traded games and I said I was leaning PS4 but still undecided.  He said that they were still taking PS4 preorders (and hasn't stopped) and that while they almost ran out of Xbone they had gotten a bunch more following the MS about face (not sure if these are still Day One Editions).

I was half tempted to pony up the additional $20 I'd need to place a PS4 preorder down payment, but I'm still just watching what everyone here posts and all the links that are listed, soaking everything in and trying to decide what to get.

At puppet my advice just save Your money and buy one for yourself for Christmas thats what im gonna do true ill miss out on 3 to 4 weeks of gaming but then ill have a good idea on what to buy accessories and game wise plus it saves the wife from having to buy me anything for Christmas which comes out of my pocket anyway

That's exactly my plan Tate.  I want as much info as possible before I buy the system I'll use for the next 10 years or so (at least).

I'd at least put some pre-orders down. All consoles will sell out this Xmas...maybe even the Wii U if people get desperate.

They going to be on sale same time across the pond, or you need me to grab one and ship Epic?

Worldwide launch, I think. Or maybe a day or two later.
