new ipad

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the new ipad?? i am thinking about buying the wife one for xmas but am not sure if its worth the money or not. she works from home a couple days a week, surfs the net, plays games. any thoughts from anyone would be great

I have the full sized version, as does a number of the guys here.

Get a full sized one. I'm one of those guys that strongly dislikes Apple - but the iPad is a great product and I enjoy it. I'm getting myself a Kindle Paperwhite for christmas specifically so I don't play online and play games so much when I sit down to 'read'

True, I have a ton of books on the thing but when I pull it out to read I find myself on Mustang forums, posting here, playing chess, reading about the fiscal cliff from USAToday, checking upcoming opponents on Dolphins fan sites...you name it.

By the time I get to the actual library and read a few pages of the book I'm tired and ready for bed-- LOL (sad)

but i have owned 2 ipads and they are really nice alot easier and nicer to surf the web read books and so on ... all and all its very nice ,,,

as far as the mini goes i dont see the point might as well get a iphone at that point

Yup, exact same thing here. I plan on reading a few chapters, end up checking my bookmarks, punching Interseptor in the face on chess.com for cheating, and deciding I don't want to read any more.

if i buy her one it will be the full size version, i dont think i want to mess with the mini

Again, buy two or you'll be sorry.
