Found an iPad!

Yep, on the plane from St. Louis to Tulsa I was sitting in the “emergency row”. This required me to read the card on how to open the emergency exit. When I opened the seat-back pocket in front of me, there was someone’s shiny 32 gb iPad! Of course I told the flight attendant and gave it to her, as you know whoever forgot it was probably in a panic about the time I found it. Can you imagine how they must have been freaking out? Hopefully it will find it’s way to it’s rightful owner, and the airline people will not keep it. I thought about calling up and seeing if anyone has claimed it just to be sure. I still might do that anyhow. Who knows, maybe no one claimed it (doubtful) or maybe even a reward (really doubtful).

They should totally give it to you if they can't find the owner. I would be surprised if someone didn't claim it though - unless it has something illegal on it.

Not sure why it wasn't already locked w/Mobile Me. I tell you what 2.5 mins. after I see mine gone the unit is locked and anything after that I'm wiping the disk and sending a bunch of beeping messages that the thief (or good samaritain in your case) will know it's mine and how to reach me. Or calling the cops and having them track it. Mobile Me gives GPS map location up to 2 ft. I know...I tried it day one with my iPad

Here is the difference between bro's , I would have tried to find out who's it was by looking through the iPad itself, unless it was lock. If I could have found out who's it was then I would have given it back, but if I couldn't I would have just kept it, ya just leave $600 lying around and expect to get it back. Lost and found is just for crap nobody wants. I commend ya on your karma and you earn a boyscout honor badge, once again you prove you are the nicer bro

That's why I think I'll call them, just to make sure they give it up too. I would hate to see it have been reported missing and not get the the rightful owner. You know they have the flight number, so there is no way who lost it isn't going to have any easy way to find it.

Seriously, you all know you would have turned something like that in. Now if I found a $20 bill in the seat pocket- that's "finders keepers!"
