What a crock! Last year maybe but what is coming out this year? Sounds like a BS excuse to buy more time for development without having to say the game was delayed for programming reasons.

I doubt it's because they need more time, though they now have it, which can only be good.

It's probably because GR isn't mainstream enough for Xmas, especially considering the other games that'll be around pre-Xmas - CoD, GoW, Reach, etc.

GR has pretty much always been the 'game between games', though that might change with the newest one.... we'll have to wait and see.

dont forget fable 3 and crackdown 2

i guess the push back will allow them more time to find and fix any bugs, this game better come out d@mn near flawless

Meh, I was looking forward to GR a lot more than the others coming out. Oh and don't get me wrong, I am all for developers getting more time to make a product better. I could just do without the BS.

I just hope they still do a Beta this summer

I'm pretty sure the beta will still come out it just gives them more time to fix it I guess which still IMO suck I was really looking forward to this game probably #1 for this year. Although if we take a second to look at it I think it was always gonna launch around that time think about every other GRAW, RB6,Hawx all have been May releases even SC was due in March at one point before being released lol they knew all along they just wanted the hype which they got dman Ubisoft. Just my opinion lol.

this is bullsh!t man, I was so looking forward to playing this game this year! Crackdown 2 isn't even schdule for the fall, its coming this summer with Kane & Lynch 2.

Well looks like Star Wars The Force Unleashed II will be my game this fall.

Probably smart of them. I haven't looked into all the new game release dates but Reach and Gears of War would be pretty rough on GR

There are lots of strange things that go into setting release dates, and most of them have nothing to do with the gamer out there. Does Ubi have anything else big releasing in the Oct-Dec time frame? If so, they might push back a top tier title until the next quarter just for the quarterly earnings and their shareholders. The whole "business" side of games just keeps getting bigger and bigger, as they are more closely watched on Wall Street and the gaming companies get larger (think EA and Activision specifically). Quarterly earnings, price per share, stock ratings, etc all play a part in how a game is marketed and released, it's not just about the development and getting it out there to sell it anymore. Game haven't been for kids (or kid business) for a while now.

Hope it is getting perfected, rather than spending a few extra months prepackaged in a warehouse somewhere.

Of course I'll feel the pressure to buy the new CoD and HALO, but I'm really interested to see what Fable 3 and Force Unleashed 2 will be like.

HEy don't forget Medal of Honor looks promising Alpha Protocol comes in June another title if done right can be a good game it's another hybrid this time a Espionage-RPG seem interesting. E3 is right around the corner so I'm sure they will divulge more games by then that aren't just Halo and COD although thaT NEW Black-Op's trailer kicked ass lol.
