The Division: Race for Glory!

Tonight is a special one-time event as one man is in a race for fame, fortune and glory.  Join us as Kenny attempts an impossible run against the clock.  Starting at around 5pm est, our very own Kenny will attempt to power-level from his current rank of 18 (almost 19) all the way to lvl 26 in just four hours.  The deadline is 9pm sharp.  Failure will be costly but winning will be equally rewarding.  Check out the details below:

The stakes: High-End lvl 30 Yellow Gear

This is pretty complicated but basically several pieces of High-End Yellow Gear are at stake.  Both myself and DeadSockPuppet have bet Kenny that he can't do it.  If he makes it the loot is his.  He he fails to hit 26, he has to pay out (and if he fails to hit 25 he has to pay out big!)  So join us tonight in the stream as we watch history in the making.  Laugh, cry, troll Kenny on his epic run and watch him fall flat on his face?  Should be a blast!

For a little reference, the world run from 1-30 is currently @ 15hrs. That would be a simple average of 2 lvls/hr. But as early lvls are easier to rank up and later lvls take much longer it is slower going the closer you get to the top. Kenny's attempt tonight is 7 lvls in 4 hrs. This should be near record setting pace (or faster). I don't think he can do it. Anyone else want to chime in? Can Kenny pull it off?

UPDATE:  At 5:30 exact he hit lvl 20.  That currently puts him on pace for 2 lvls per hour.  He started a little early but has also gotten a little over 1 lvl.  Stay tuned.

UPDATE: Lvl 21 @ 6:02pm. Still on pace!

I'm still thinking he finishes somewhere between level 24 and 25. Come on yellow loot!

Well done on the run. We didn't think you'd get it due to those randoms trying to hold you back in the last 40 min or so. But, in true Kenny fashion, you strapped them on your back and carried them. The show was definitely worth the piece of yellow gear.

Congrats Kenny. Now this may be a stupid question but is there still stuff for you to do or nah?

The Dark Zone is the true end goal. It was the highlight of the game when I played the beta, and that still holds true at 30. Also in the near future, Ubisoft are supposed to release raid type missions called incursions. Whether or not those will be any good is anybodies guess.

There are also Daily and Weekly Challenges that are only available at lvl 30. We spent a good bit of the night in the DZ and had a blast. Once you hit 30 the whole DZ repopulates with 30-32 AI. It was challenging and fun. We had a great time and and got some amazing loot.

Trudging along and I'm 1 side mission from 27, but I'm to to the point where I'm getting purple loot from named yellow boss drops, so that's good. Looking forward to hitting 30 and being able to start getting my end game on.

I love loot farming. Might have to try this out.

Last night Kenny and I farmed the final mission which has 2 named bosses and the final fight that drops 4 purple. Once lvl 30, named bosses have a chance to drop High-End (yellow) gear and I ended up getting 3 pieces and bought a 4th. You have to do the mission on "Hard" but with a 2-man squad you can farm it pretty quickly. Just repeat as necessary.

Sadly, 2 of the pieces I got were not very good but I still ended with 2 pretty solid pieces or High-End gear.
