ESO Character Roleplaying thoughts... Empty ESO Character Roleplaying thoughts...

Post by S7 Interseptor Mon Jun 08, 2015 1:45 pm

I have always liked roleplaying characters whenever possible.  I like to come up with backstory and motivation whenever possible and I tend to stick to my character molds when playing through a game.  For example, if I am a thief/assassin, I do not join the mages guild unless magic is a part of my character or backstory. I usually specialize in one branch rather than try and be a 'jack of all trades' type of character.  I think it's more fun and if I want to try the Mages Guild, I'll re-roll a new character just for that purpose.

...at any rate, I thought I would share some of my character write-up's I have done in preparation for ESO  Please feel free to share yours if you are like me and enjoy a little roleplaying...

First up is my solo, mess around character that I will play whenever the group is not around to play with.

ESO Khajiit Thief

Name: Zaara Daro'gavi
(Currently residing in Daggerfall)

Traits:
Female, small, athletic

Criminal - does any job to get by
Non-trusting - did not have an easy life and trusts no one at their word
Fearless - does not back down from a challenge or scare easily.

Backstory:
Abandoned as a cub, she has no idea who her parents were and no longer cares. She fell onto crime at an early age as a way to get by and honed her skills as a thief. Stole what she needed to survive at first but then turned it into a way of life. Has a knack from getting into and out of places unnoticed. This skill as well as the people she associated with eventually led her to become as assassin traveling the land and pulling jobs for whoever had the coin to hire her.

No real alliances or loyalty. No real moral compass. Takes what she wants and sticks to the shadows. Never heard of her?  Good. Her ego can be a bit of a problem and gets here into trouble. Being small and abused as a child, she over compensates by being tough and often biting off more than she can chew.

I'll post up my High Elf Mage in just a bit.

And now my group character that I will roll co-op with the PS4 bros...

ESO High Elf (Altmer) Mage

Name: Tamera Silenfor
(Aldmeri Dominion)

Traits:
Tall, Skinny, Bookworm Type

Scholar - Highly intelligent, well schooled and a natural mage
Loner - Sticks to herself and her books
Shy - Quite and guarded, more comfortable with books than people

Backstory:
Grew up safe and secure on Summerset Isle, she devoted herself to learning the ancient arts of magic and studying everything she could on the subject. She excelled in school at an early age and had a natural talent for the magic arts.

Now looking to apply her learning in a more practical way she ventures out into the world she had only read about.  Hungry to learn that which can not be learned from books alone she set off for adventure. Confident in her skill and knowledge of the world, she is in for a rude awakening.  The world is a much harsher place then she ever imagined.

* Yes, I know I am a giant nerd

No, a gaint nerd would create family trees and a 5 or so page character background, usually including a page or so to physical characteristics and attributes. If I put the thought into it I'll put one up at some point.
