Gotta give GameStop credit

I cleaned out my entertainment center and got rid of all my old 360 games and some xbone games I don't play anymore. I actually got quite a bit for the games being old COD games and what not.
I was even able to preorder and payoff ESO and BlackOps 3 only paying $4

Nice man. It's always nice getting some money for games you'll never play again.

It always hurts adding up how much you actually spent on the games though. Looks like over $1,000 spent originally there

Really? I see about $1,080.00 in games.
They gave you a small amount of what you paid. Sure, ok you can't expect to get full return for a used product-- but from just the games you have there (hell just the XB1 games alone) you should have received $100 and that's just offering $20 per game!

So I guess it depends on how you look at it. I still see highway robbery !

I see it as the haven't been opened in years. I'll never play them. Especially the 360 games. Yeah I could have gone to eBay but that's more effort.

Halo MCC was like 20 titanfall was like 8 forza was 12 or 15. They were pretty low. What blew my mind was there were games like modern warfare 2 that gave 12. Considering how old it is it was crazy. But I got 1-5 for most random 360 games. But paid like 10 cause I bought em at GameStop.

It's more than I had yesterday.

Don't get me wrong when adding it all up. I still bent over but they lit a few candles and played music this time.

Agreed. Some people like to collect their games and hold onto them forever. If that's not your thing, no harm in getting some $ from gamestop rather than throwing them away in 3 years.

I'm that dude. I pretty much avoid GameStop entirely now. I even have two 3DS systems that I don't use since I got the New 3DS and I won't even trade those in. I still remember the one time when my mother gave them our SNES and Sega Genesis and a ton of games and didn't get much in return all because there "wasn't enough room in the house" (there was definitely enough room in the house). Sad day.

I am not as attached to games now as I used to be but I am addicted to digital gaming. Pre-loading and midnight launches without having to go to the store? Yes please. Also no more switching game disks but the down side in no trade-ins either. Worth it to me but I can understand wanting to trade physical too.

I'm the guy that wants gamestop to close down and. I buy the cheapest  version  of the game digtal  or hard copy. I don't sell back my games  ti gamestop just so there is no fuel for that market. I would like all digital dl only if they  made the games cheaper. I want the consoles to have something  similar to steam one day. If you have a pc u could  have got mkx for $20 on day one or you could have got witcher 3, ac black flag, watch dogs, the crew, and child of light yeasterday and maybe still today, all for $60. Digital  is the way to go no hard copy to mess  with and take up space in the house plus the predownload and ease of use. I figured  i get my moneys worth with the games i buy which isn't  that much.
