Have the beta downloading.  Looks like it's going to take awhile since the 20 minutes I had it going before going back to work, it was only at 3%.

I didn't realize it was an open beta so yaaaaa. I'm downloading it now and will be happy to try this game to judge if I want to buy it or not.

I'll get this downloaded tonight and try to get some play time in this weekend. I know I'll get it, just not sure when. Probably closer to Christmas for this and R6, as I'm getting Fallout, COD, and Halo at launch (tomb raider is going to have to wait until spring).

Visually, the game is great. I had some fun playing multiplayer, but still not too sure about it. I'd need to see what unlockables are available in the full game. Feel like there needs to be some balance in the Hoth battle because Empire won every time I played on that map. That or nobody on the Rebel side shoots at the AT-ATs when they're vulnerable.

And you're right Sticky, it looks amazing.

i am really happy they nailed the sound and seeing all the tie fighter flying around fighting the x wings as your running around on foot is crazy

Yea I had a lot of fun playing this. The first time I saw Darth Vader running at me on the battlefield I was shitting my pants and screaming like a little girl. Then later on I got to be Darth Vader so op.

Is it just a power up that appears on the field similar to tie fighters, x-wings, etc. to play as Darth Vadar?

YES, to get in any vehicle or become a "Hero" there is a little orb that floats on the ground you run over it.

I maxed rank last night, pretty upset it stopped at 5 lol plus i'd like to try more weapons out, maybe more maps as the beta closes to an end. We'll see.

I played this game till 1:30 am last night, i just couldn't get enough. One match i stay in the x-wing the whole match went 9-0. The next i'm on foot going 6-13. I didn't mind either way.

Didn't think i'd buy this game, but its a strong possibility.

I played a few games but ran into a series of disconnects when trying to join MP. After 5 minutes of trying I just switched to Destiny for the night.

It did that to me too Atrum at first, then I was able to get in...

Yeah I got the hero orb and became Darth too. But like OC, first time I saw him was one of my teammates running and I was like HOLY SH*t how did you get that?

Yeah I watched a few live streams and it looks like a rent to me as well. I shall rename it star wars golddigger. Looks pretty but just wants you r money lol

I played a bit more today. I've moved it up to a buy for sure.
I'll play it some, mainly as a fun break from games with a more serious feel. That and my 4 year old will love playing it.

Rolling off positive press for the Star Wars Battlefront beta, video game publisher Electronic Arts announced today that a season pass for the game's post-launch content will sell for a whopping $50 — only $10 less than the game's full price at launch. The pass will include four downloadable content packs and a self-referential emote called "Shoot First," though what will be most difficult to resist for dedicated players is two-week advance access to each of the expansions.

A two weeks head start is a competitive advantage in multiplayer shooters, allowing dedicated players to learn the intricacies of new maps and weapons before their peers. No price or additional details are available for the individual DLC packs. EA has previously priced DLC packs for Battlefield at $15 each, which if applied to Battlefront would make the season pass $10 cheaper than purchasing the DLC individually.

Well said, and it will probably be buggy and glitchy as all hell for the first couple months like Battlefield was.  That being said, they could probably charge $110 out of the gate and extra for the season pass and fanboys would throw their wallets at EA.  Yeah, it's what most shooters run, doesn't mean it doesn't suck.  

Pretty much going to wait on getting this until Xmas to see how bad the bugs are and see if they get them fixed, which is what I ended up doing with B4 (granted I got my PS4 a couple months after launch).

The Battlefront withdrawal is real.
