Re: Neverwinter class list
Sorry Miller, it's just one of those things with me.S7 mrmiller wrote:
Why not? This isn't a competitive game is it?
I sort of dislike this philosophy when it comes to games. Same reason I didn't play Forza. Everyone will say you can get everything without paying a dime (which is probably true), but it takes everyone so long and meanwhile those willing to pay get all the goodies without actually having to "earn" anything.
Again, it's just a personal thing with me. Has nothing to do with the game or developer. If I made the game and found a way to separate you from your wallet--I'd do it too.

Like buying anything more than the stock version of a car? I do understand your dislike for the practice in games, but if it isn't competitive to give one person a leg up (then we could talk sports even) I don't see the uproar. Buy what gives you the extra to enjoy the game, just like the GT package. Both will get you there, but you might enjoy one a bit more, and that's fine if you want to pay for it. I too get tired of being nickel and dimed to death, but game are no different than anything else.

Re: Neverwinter class list
have not spent 1 dime yet im level 56 out of 60 zero problems and most of the time im top if not 2nd in dps for any raids i do.
on the other hands its a free game so i can see people spending money to support the devs heck i plan on buying at least 10 bucks for of in game stuff just for that reason
i would have happily paid full price for this one for sure ! idk just my point of view on it at least

Edit: Checked the 'Net to see what others say they got:
Delzoun Treasure Box (Level 60)
Heavy Giant Spider Mount
Panther Companion
Dust Of Creation
Gilded Moonstone Regailia Costume (Mask,Garb,Leggings)
Gond's Endless Coffer Of Pyrotechnics
"Champion Of The North" Title
One guy's explanation:
it's a little bit hard to answer "what do you get", because the it generates blue gear for your class (every five levels from 5-50), so the gear is different depending on which character is opening it. You get a two rings, pants, armour and items for both off-hand and main-hand each time you open the package.
You also get a bag of holding for each character, a character slot, a character reroll token and a drow assassin companion
I'd consider it a starter kit, more or less. If you have limited funds and want to buy one thing, this is a pretty solid choice.
Unless something is wrong I surely don't get blue gear from the package. Usually potions and some random consumables like the stuff you use to ID things. Not once have I gotten an actual piece of gear from that box. It's a convenience thing. I got it mainly because the spider mount is awesome to me and I dig the companion. It's not for everybody and yeah, it's a bit expensive for what it actually is, but what the hell, it's worth it to me so that's what matters. I don't see a single "advantage" unless you consider a mount that's a little bit faster an advantage.
I will get a weapon at level 60 (and I honestly have no clue if that weapon is any good anyways), but like I said, unless I'm doing something wrong, that will be the first weapon or armor I've ever recieved from the pack.

After a few minutes of digging because I was curious...the pack that you get the gear in is called the "Heirloom" pack that costs $20. Hell, I may pick that up too after I get this character to 60 just to help move along levels for my alts as I'll have seen everything at that point anyways.
Here's the lowdown on different packs you can buy for the game...
