cant wait  i do love the old ones.  i remember watching the first Jurassic park  in  my city's last drive in theater  right before they closed it down

At what point do they figure out this park is probably a bad idea?  Jurassic Park 7: Oops, we did it again!

I guess it looks fine for a new generation who didn't see the previous films but looks like any of the others to me.  Build stuff with dinosaurs in it, pretend everything will work out, everything doesn't work out, dinosaur gets mad, people run from dinosaur, the end.

The original Jurrasic Park will forever be the best one as it was new at the time.  All these remakes are just the same stuff.

I think this looks like a great movie. More advanced tech, having the park actually open and functioning - I don't see why it wouldn't be appealing to everyone that enjoyed the original.

I too watched the original at a drive in, hope this one is just as good.

The original was successful because it was based on a terrific novel by Michael Crichton.  Once it was turned into a successful film Hollywood pressured him into writing a sequel novel The Lost World (which I enjoyed), but it turned into a mediocre movie.  Both of the first two films were directed by Spielberg.  The third movie was just a screenplay and not written by Crichton and not directed by Spielberg; it and it was trash.  Since Crichton is dead and Spielberg isn't directing I have low expectations for this one.

Yeah, and the movies screwed up a lot of the background.  Parts of the first 100 or so pages of Jurassic Park were left out of the movie and then put into The Lost World because they realized the info was useful and necessary to help explain both movies.  The books were fantastic and the movies weren't too bad, if you consider them separate of the books (even though they were based on the books).  I think there's a lot of potential and I have high hopes for it.

You guys put too much thought into this. It's two hours of you having to do very little thinking and just watch people die in ways that aren't real. It's all in good fun and entertainment. I'll watch this mutant T-Rex (or whatever they've created) eat everyone and enjoy it!
