Halo: The Master Chief Collection Facing Matchmaking Issues

just a heads up    as i have been trying to get into a match for the last 30  mins after the hours of installing and updates

players are reporting that they are unable to find multiplayer matches; 343 Industries working on a fix.

The release of much-anticipated Xbox One game Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Tuesday did not go entirely smoothly. The game is currently facing matchmaking issues, as detailed in an Xbox Live service alert issued on the Xbox website.
"Xbox members, are you having a tough time matchmaking in Halo: The Master Chief Collection? As you read this message, we're working with our external partner to correct this issue right away," Microsoft said. "We appreciate your patience in the meantime! We'll update you again when we have more information."
According to user reports on Reddit and Halo Waypoint, players are having a tough time finding matches. Halo developer 343 Industries acknowledged the struggles, explaining on Twitter that a temporary--and of course, not ideal--workaround is to exit matchmaking and start again.

More than just multiplayer issues, there are also ongoing problems with achievements not unlocking in story mode

ya i have had a few  problems with not getting my  legendary  ones

I like their solution of quit and try again lol

There are a ton of issues with this game.  Very broken at the moment.  I hope they'll get it all sorted out soon.

since the update i have had zero problem  with it  


seems like xbox live itself is weird tonight as cod is killing me

I was able to play some custom matches with my brother, but matchmaking and co-op campaign was not happening.

I take it things are better now?
Still haven't downloaded this one yet, but will by this weekend if time permits.

That's too bad. I had high expectations for Halo on XB1.
Guess it's a good thing I decided to wait. Maybe it'll be functional by the time I arrive in a lobby.

Haven't played MP but almost finished Halo 1 SP and have had no noticeable issues with achievements - been getting them out the ying yang - they just pop up everywhere

Have noticed a couple of glitches. Was catapulted past a checkpoint a couple of times. Will try co-op with anyone to see if things are better than described.

Just doing SP in oreder just for fun ... forgot how much I hate the Flood. 

How's the multiplayer on this game going? I haven't opened this thread at all but now that I have the master chief collection.

I was going to ask the same thing. I've been wanting to play for a long time but just refuse to pop it in until it works

it is alot better i would say its a little longer then a cod lobby  but not as long as a titanfall one  if that helps
they really have fixed alot of the waiting time

I've only played a few games but the waits haven't been bad at all. Maybe 10-30s to find a match average

How's co-op? A few weeks ago I couldn't even get through a single mission, either the non host players were lagging way too badly or the game wouldn't even let us start.

I haven't played co-op yet so I can't say.

I have this game and looking for a few for Co op. Since I basically speed run it due to the amount of time I played them in the past.

That's pretty much what I'm doing. It would be nice having a group. Legendary can be rough in a few places no matter how OP those BR skills are.

yeah the old br glitch doesn't really help inside single player that great

I wish every game had a doubleshot weapon glitch. Something difficult enough to do that most people couldnt or won't bother learning it that will give an advantage to someone that is proficient at it.

yes. the br glitch is easy to due but i forgot how. "haven't played halo 2 in 5 years" but yes would love to find a group for the campaign to have some fun
