Ice Breaker for sale at Xur this weekend!

Best sniper rifle in the game at the moment, and only 17 Strange Coins.  Great chance to get a badass sniper if you don't already have one!

Sweet, I get one of those. Now, I just need to find Xur when the weekend does hit. The last time, I missed the opportunity because I assumed he was going to be next to the same door. So does he park at the tower on Friday sometime, or Saturday morning?

He comes every Friday at 4AM Central.  He's there now.  Over in the Speaker area.  All the way to the back.

Would any of you guys that have Surgos Regime, switch to carry the Icebreaker, if you also had a good back up primary? I want the Regime really bad, but don't want to rely on RNG, so I think I'll pick up IB anyway.

Ugh, I've been slacking this week and will need to run everything tonight to get enough coins.

Personally, yes, and I have switched to the Vision of Confluence as my primary with Shadow Price as my backup to that if I feel I need to change to an AR.

The Ice Breakers are pretty awesome.

Also, as a side note...even if you want to use another sniper rifle for elemental reasons, if you run out of ammo on your regular sniper you can switch to the Ice Breaker, let it refill it's ammo and switch back to your other sniper rifle and it will be about half full.  No need for sniper ammo regen anymore.

The ammo regen is the #1 reason I want this sniper.

I have both Icebreaker and Suros Regime and like both.  I put Icebreaker (with a legendary primary) when I need to pop up and head shot with the snipe and panic spray with the primary.  I put Suros Regime on when I have more time to run and gun or there are tons of little guys.  The six shots total of the Icebreaker limits its usefulness in hectic situations with tons of adds and no cover.  It also does solar, so sometimes I switch because I want void or arc.

It's also a matter of playstyle.  I can sit back and pick things off and be totally happy playing that way.  Some people like being in the mix and taking things on head to head and don't use snipers much.

I'd say if you use snipers normally then this is an absolute must.  And for only 17 coins?  No brainer IMO.

I have 2 good snipers already, so this is a tough decision. That's still a lot of coins, pretty more than a weeks supply. Most likely I will pick it up, as I like the ammo regen, and it would make a good crucible weapon not having to hunt/camp ammo.

I've got The Last Word for primary and Gjhallahad for Heavy, so I'll probably pick this up.  I've got some solid legendary snipers but I don't need the other items and this will definitely be a good add to my arsenal.

We ran nightfall last night with three icebreakers and it was kind of ridiculous.

Yea, the ammo regen is huge when you never have more than about 10 shots anyhow. Glad I picked it up.

Tell me about it. We (Kenny, Panzer and I) just ran two 26's and a 25 through Nightfall with three Ice Breakers (our Alts). Too easy.
