I don't think you can say you did a lot of anything when the game hasn't even been out for a week.

If that's the case, I played a lot of Diablo 3 

as far as only story there really is not alot

Finished up just now myself.  Now the fun begins.  

Put myself offline for most of the day just to be able to get a nice solo experience through the story and some adventuring.  Can't wait to get some strikes, etc. in with everybody now, lol.

Well, if I remember right Halo stories weren't super long, so I guess it's possible for the overachievers to finish it in like 48hrs.

Made it to level 11 last night. Aircav and I did the earth patrol and strike then went on to finish his moon missions. We plan to do the moon patrol and strike as well as start Venus tonight if any one is around level 10-11ish and is interested let me know. We will be on around 7:00 7:30 pm est.

Yes, actual campaign of the game isn't terribly long (but I thought it was fine).  Bungie has always said that the end game is where the fun will be had and after last night I don't disagree.  I did a level 18 random playlist strike after beating the game and even though it was with randoms and no communication it was one of the best experiences I've had in a while on a game.  It was f'ing intense the entire boss fight, which in itself lasted d@mn near 20-30 minutes.

I can't wait to get into this stuff with the clan.

Same here.  All story and side missions done.  All raids complete and most of the golden chests found.  Still, with all that, lvl 20 is where my game started.  There are Strike playlists that go up to lvl 24, Story missions that go up to 28, Heroic Weekly Strikes (lvl 22 this week) and Daily Heroic Missions... AND LOOT!  You really don't even start to get loot till you hit lvl 20.  Now I am just trying to get ready for Raids once they launch.

* Golden Chests: Earth - 5/5, Moon - 5/5, Venus - 4/5 and Mars - 2/5.  Still need to find a few more but I felt good about my first run.

I enjoyed the style and structure of the campaign, but the narrative was kind of limited at first and didn't take off until Venus.  The final boss fight was far easier than some of the other battles and not on the same level as most strikes.

Yeah, it was a bit weird going from the early missions to sudden storyline. I enjoyed the story. More cutscenes would have been fine with me.

Level 18 story is done working on more patrols and strikes

I thought games like these are never "done" (at least until the developer stops adding DLC).

Also just out of curiosity went to all the review rags--you know Game Spot, Metacritic, Game Informer, God is a Geek, etc. and this one is given less than stellar ratings. Everyone seems to think they were getting something that they didn't from Bungie. They stated the game is too repetitive and the story wasn't as well written.
What are your thoughts?

People doing the "professional" reviews are a joke.  Reviews are based on first impressions and Destiny is not a first impressions type of game.  Bungie was true to their word when they said the game starts at 20.  Most reviewers, in their attempts to be first in line, played through the story and wrote their opinion based on that.  There's so much more to it and they've completely missed the point.

I agree- the story is terrible. With that said, the after party is where it is at, and much more fun. It's just a drag to have to go back through the story with each character. I guess the environments can get repetitive, but that is no different than any other game no matter the number of maps/map packs. I'm having a good time with it, and the competitive multiplayer will hold me until COD:AW. Then the Co-op should hold me over after that, and I'm not a big co-op type person.

Atrums Game Test: Is the clan on often playing?

Most recent big releases have seen pretty spotty online activity. There is usually the core group of guys who are always on anyway, but the rest are only on here and there.

Destiny I'm constantly seeing 4-5 full groups of people playing strikes, wandering, sitting in chats, PvPing, etc. To me, that means the game is very good. Initial Review: Very strong game.

In 3 months if we still see a group or two playing daily, then it was a great game.
