Metro Redux

Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light are coming to the PS4, X1 and PC in a newer, fancier edition.  Packaged together as a set for $49 or separately for $25.  Personally I am really excited for this.  I wanted to play these games but never got around to it.  Now I have a chance to play with all the goodies at a low price?!  Yes please!  this includes a graphics update as well as new modes and DLC.

Oh and both the PS4 and X1 versions will be at 1080p and 60fps   WHHHAAAT????

I will defiantly be getting this as I have played them both multiple times. I still need to go through Last Light without killing anyone. I was close but during the train part my trigger finger got itchy.

So I am guessing you liked them lol?  Good to know.  I really wanted to play them back in the day but never seemed to have time or $$$ at the same time.   One of my biggest regrets of last generation.  Especially Last Light.  That one looked really good to me.

I'll try to explain the main difference between Metro and almost all other games. You know when you increase the difficulty that it usually makes games harder and in most cases this means whoever you are facing is harder to kill. This is not the case in Metro instead you can play Ranger Hardcore mode making you and almost all creatures or humans you kill a 1-2 shot kill. I would consider it realistic mode. Now if you are looking for even a greater challenge they have regular hardcore mode which makes monsters harder to kill but you still die really easy. As for the graphics this game sets the bar along with games like Crysis in what some consider "Bench marking games". I haven't played Metro 2033 in a while but i still don't think I can max out the PC settings on it and hit 60 FPS. If you plan on playing these games its highly recommended that you get them both as the story line is in a linear fashion.

2033 was such a great game. It gets so d@mn intense I could never see beating the game without killing anyone. I also wish more of it was outside but with that being said it makes the outside parts more impactful

The combo pack is on sale for The Xbox One on XBL for $7.50. I think I might pick this up too. Never played either before.

Total steal for the quality of those two games. I just love how it doesn't really hold your hand. You can approach your objective in whatever way you want. I do wish the story wasn't so linear but you can't deny the quality.
