New Zombie MMO - H1Z1

Sony announced last night the reveal of a new F2P Zombie MMO in the works from Sony Online Entertainment called H1Z1.  Set 15 year after the outbreak and virtual destruction of society.  It is set to launch on PC in a few weeks and PS4 sometime later.  Not sure if it's going to be anything special but I am going to keep an eye on this one.  I like the concept of a Survival Zombie MMO.  Let's hope this is a good one and not just another Zombie cash-in.

Early Steam access will be available in as little as 4-6 weeks on PC.  The final game will be F2P but early access on PC will cost you $20.  Anyone thinking of checking it out?

Cool, sounds like they will capitalize on the popularity of DayZ.  Hope it turns out better than all the other MMO flops from SOE.

I haven't played any of them but Everquest and Planetside 2 are both pretty well respected games.

I played EQ2 and Star Wars Galaxies and they were both terrible.  Of course the original Everquest was the first MMO ever and is ridiculously successful.  Never saw Planetside.  Just wikied the list.  Matrix Online was another huge budget flop i remember.  Looks like PS4 will also get Everquest Next.  Might be interesting too.

I would disagree with swg and eq2 being terrible. Eq was deff the better of the two but I also played in like 2000 when it was at its peak.

I played Asheron's Call and Anarchy Online around the same time and thought both were superior.  I heard Dark Age of Camelot was great too.  In a crowded field I lump the mediocre games in with the truly bad ones.  Galaxies was clunky and EQ2 had no PVP.

I played like 20 min on a friend's character on EverCrack and was like, never again because I'll never see the light of day again nor will I ever have any money.
