Welcome to the Darkside Tournament *updated with results*

With the release of Titanfall we have had quite a few members pick up the Xbox One. The Ghosts officers would like to celebrate and welcome them to the dark side by having a tournament. So come out and play with some friends you might not have seen in a while. We look forward to getting to game with some of our brothers again. Stock your fridge with the beverage of your choice and bring your A game its going to be a hell of a good time.

Date:  Friday April 11th

Time:  11:30pm (Eastern)

Game Modes:  S&R, Blitz, Domination

Teams:  2 Teams Chosen by Captains

Maps:  Random Based on Team Size

Prize: $10 MS Card


Details:  This is a best 2 out of 3 tournament. We will play best 2 out of 3 per game mode with a different map each game. First team to win 2 game modes wins the tournament. Team selection will start @ 11:30 (Eastern) so please be early so you can set up your classes. After everyone has arrived we will discuss throwing out certain maps based on size and number of people playing. Team captains will be S7 KnightOwl and S7 COOP.

Round 1:  S&R best 2 out of 3 switching sides every round if settings will allow.

Round 2:  Blitz best 2 out of 3 normal game rules apply

Round 3:  Domination (if needed) best 2 out of 3 normal game rules apply

The rules have been laid out you just need to come hang out with your S7 buddies and have a good time. Hope to see you all there!

RESULTS

Congrats to team 2 on their tourney victory and S7 Coolhand for winning the prize. Thanks to all that came out it was a great time.

The tourney went all the way down to the last map on the last game mode. The fighting was intense and made for a great tourney. The first game mode was S&R with both teams each winning a map. It came down to the last map with team 2 pulling ahead and winning the last map. Putting team 2 in the lead 1-0. The next game mode was Blitz. These where some very close matches with team 1 winning the first map by 1 and winning the second map by 2. That tied the overall standings in the tourney 1-1. Then we moved on to the final game mode Domination. Team 2 took the first map by a slim margin of 24. Team 1 rallied back on the second map winning by 28. So the whole tourney came down to one final map. It was an extremely close game coming down to the wire but team 2 was able to pull it off and win by a 19 point lead. The Domination game mode was so close that over 3 game there was only a 15 point difference between the two teams. Congrats again to team 2!
