Ps4 streaming

LOL!  I have not had many viewers in the past.  You are more of the pro when it comes to streaming but I will say that the PS4 makes it stupid easy to stream.  I had never streamed anything and I was setup and streaming within literally 1 minute.  If I knew people were interested in watching I would stream more of my SP stuff.  I'll try to keep you guys up-to-date in the future.

well the way  i see it as long as you have fun streaming dont worry about if people come to view it or not ...

there would be nights when we were playing blops 2  that i would get like 3 or 4 people watching  heck even a few nights were all it as was wiggles  watching my stream at his work. 

but its nice knowing that the ps4 made it easy as hell to stream.

i watched some of evols bf4 stream the way they have the stream show is a little weird but not a bad quality

Could you hear us talking? I am having trouble figuring out if out chat is coming thru the stream.

That was a ton of fun.  It was nice to get to play some MP with you guys, it had been like 3 months.  

Thanks for the help getting me started.  Not sure how easy the XB1 was to get up and running out of the box but I was good in like 45 min, going from closed box with no PSN ID to downloading everything that was free and prepping BF4.  

Now I need to set up my Twitch account with my PS4 so I can stream a little when I play.  That and get the TB chat cable, although using the Sony headset and my XP500s seemed to be ok for now.  

I work 2nd shift tonight but I might be on for a little bit after I get home from work.  Probably wouldn't be until after midnight EST but we'll see who's up to what.

I will be streaming ff14 today.

I set up my Twitch account on my PS4 but I couldn't get it to accept that I wanted to stream.  I selected to share bottom two options (mic audio and video I think), entered a name for the stream, and when I tried to click on the option to start the stream it wouldn't work.  Not sure if I actually have to be in a game before I start a stream or what.  Suggestions?  Might just play around with this the next time I'm on and one of you guys is on.

You do have to be playing a game to start a stream. You can't stream from Netflix or a DVD or from your dashboard

Gotcha.  I think I had the game in the background but I was at the dashboard.  I'll have to give it a try again when I get I into the game.

Just a heads up to all ps4 user's

would not hurt to log into your twitch channel via a pc  or tablet and customize your channel 

Also keep in mind when you switch games make sure to update your game playing as that is how people find the games they want to see..

if the title and game playing is battlefield but your streaming  FF  most people wont watch it as there look in the bf4 part for bf4 gameplay

Also please be carefull about NDA   in beta's  im not sure if there is one for FF beta  but streaming anything thats under a NDA   will get you banned from streaming on twitch. normally a twitch Mod will come into your channel chat and ask you to please turn it off as it brakes NDA.. if you are not watching your stream and miss them asking you they will ban the account...


(just wanted to make this clear.. this is in no way bashing for trying to hurt the ps4 user's here just some  helpful tips i have come across in my years of streaming)

I'm pretty sure the NDA has been lifted for FF14 since the game reached a certain beta phase for PS3 and PC last year.  The game has been released for PC and PS3 for the past six months, it's just the PS4 that's getting some beta testing in.  It should be ok to stream that.  I never did much streaming because my upload speeds were dreadful when I lived with my parents, but I was also guilty of forgetting to switch the title of the stream whenever I switched games.  Just forgot that I was streaming sometimes.

Good points Sticky.  As Xpert said, FF14 is OK to stream.  No NDA was required to play and the game has been around on the PC for a while now.

I am also guilty of not labeling my streams.  Need to remember to do that.
