Godzilla!
I'm a bit excited for this as it looks to be a proper Godzilla and not the 1998 New York Godzilla. Growing up, I watched a lot of Godzilla and enjoyed it very much, and that's when they used rubber suits and horrible effects. Now it's being taken to the next level!

Re: Godzilla!
I've always been a big fan of godzilla. Same thing, grew up watching it. I actually enjoyed the last one too, but this makes it FEEL like godzilla again (from just the trailer). The NY one it felt like the people could do something, run away, hide, etc. I already get the vibe from this trailer (and the one from comic-con) that everyone is just SOL

The only thing that I can think of that New York Godilla had over Tokyo Godzilla is it was more agile. But New York Godzilla was also taken down so incredibly easy by a few measly missiles whereas a whole army could be firing everything they have at Tokyo Godzilla, which just seems to annoy it and then it uses its atomic breath to decimate the army. And since Tokyo Godzilla's cells have fast regenerative properties, any damage it does recieve heals over quickly. That's what upset me about New York Godzilla, because it was just a pushover. I enjoyed watching the fight between Tokyo Godzilla and New York Godzilla in 'Godzilla Final Wars' because it only lasted like... 5 seconds. lol

Re: Godzilla!
They made a good one in 2000 called godzilla 2000. Check it out. Much in the same style as 1985. Some of my favs though are vs mothra and vs mecha. I love the cheezy.

Re: Godzilla!
This does look cool. We just watched Pacific Rim this weekend, and I'm looking forward to another Uber Monster movie.

Re: Godzilla!
Heard Pacific Rim was the summer blockbust movie. Looked like an attempt at a Mechwarrior/Transformers movie.

Re: Godzilla!
In the US it "only" made 100 million, where 100 million is a respectable number but not great, but world wide it's over $400 million, so far from a bust. Anyhow, I really liked the movie no matter the BO, and am looking forward to the sequel as well as Godzillia.

Pacific Rim was a great movie. Haven't heard of anyone not liking it that saw it.
