$10 upgrade to XBO games

Pretty cool. MS has come out that digital distribution is available as-well.

Basically, buy games that launch before the XBO and you can play them on both for just a $10 upgrade fee. I wasn't going to get CoD or BF4 on 360, but for $10 I don't have any reason not to now. It'll let me play before XBO launches, game with friends not on the new console yet, and is just an overall great deal.

Just got told at gamestop that you basically have to buy the game twice ( battlefield 4 ) and send in some sort of mail in rebate to ms...hopefully this is just bad info and not the case

The Call of Duty one doesn't look that way with the digital distribution. There is also a link in that article to a MS Xbox site explaining it a bit, but not in complete detail. If you simply buy the digital download for $60 on 360, then later when you buy the digital download for the One, it checks your gamercard and only charges you $10, I will do that. I really want to have COD on both systems, so I can play with those not getting the One at launch (Droopy, OC, Puppet) and still play on the One when they are not online. I will only be getting Battlefield on the One, as I think the next gen of that game has more to offer than the current gen, while COD isn't going to be much different "game play wise" and more of a graphical update.

If I have to mail in a rebate for bf4 I am going to be mildly pissed off.

Thats exactly what i said, but looking at gamestops website it says the coupon will be emailed to power up members and you take that in with the copy of the game for the exchange.

so much confusion....
I'll just wait to see how this all works out.
