Which is why they used MS points in the first place.  Nobody thinks about how much it really costs if you just pay with points!

Reason why I liked Nintendo and Sony online shops.  If a game cost $8, you can choose to add points to account, or straight up pay $8.  With Microsoft, in order to pay for an $8 game, I needed to pay $10 for 800 MS points, leaving me with $2 worth of MS points just sitting there.  Stupid.  I'm glad they're switching to real currency.

Ahh, very nice. I never minded MS points too much. It was always kinda nice wanting to rent a new movie or something and going "Oh, I already have 500 points left over, yay!"

Points were "easier" for me to spend than dollars, so I'm not sure this will help their sales.  I did hate the stupid leftover points though.

Didn't care for the points system. But I do think the $$ system will hurt business. For some reason I'm more hesitant to buy when I see $$.
