League Play

How does the team league play work? Are there different game types or is it like a Mosh Pit style? I have a free evening as the wife and kids will be out of town, and thought we might try to get a team together and see how we do.

4v4 is Mosh Pit Style, No Ghost?, No Care Packages and I think No Tac Inserts.

Uses MLG rule set for the modes.

6v6 is Team Deathmatch and that is all, no restrictions on loadout.

You forgot everything is unlocked!

I'm down - let me know. The game restrictions are similar to GB rule sets with oddities like 6 round S&D. The Championship series has no TDM, only objective game modes in a mosh pit style. 4v4. Each match is against different opponents. Once it gets rolling it seems like there is no lag time between matches.

I would be down for the TDM one if there are enough people to play.

I can't get too excited for TDM myself, but if you need a fourth msg me.

All I play now is league play. You have to have a team in order to win. Your team will either quit or they just plain suck. There is a lot more restrictions now. No ghost,no hardline, no uav, no carepackage, and a lot more you can't use. You can only use nades and Semtex and the combat axe. No tac insert or shock charge. Lock on launchers only and no launcher on your gun.

League play sucks without a team. I did the 5 "placing" rounds, and started off in the gold division. About 10 games later I'm down to the Bronze as I always get matched with other randoms going against full clans. Plus, what is the deal with people quitting out? They never get replaced and it ends up 3 or 4 on 6.

Yes it does suck. I played a tdm on league and it started 6v6 and it ended up 2v4 and the other team only beat us by one point. The placement dependa on how you play and how many games you win out of the 5 games. I am pretty good and I still got in iron division just bc I only won one out of 5 games.

On the Mosh pit I keep having people drop when playing CTF. When it's 2 v 4 with the respawn timer = impossible. At least in TDM it's not super unbalanced being down 1 or 2 players, as long as it's the less skilled players.

I know the same thing happens to me in both game types. They put it so you cant have anybody join if your missing players. It really ruins it for everbody else playing.

With that said, I think if we can get a team of 4 or 6 we should be able to do well, as they might be the teams with players dropping.

I did notice you get a lot of XP here for the TDM. Normal TDm matches are very weak for XP, 4000-5000 on average, and would have to be exceptional for something like 10K. A win on the TDM League play is 10K and a Loss is still 7,500. That's a nice boost from the normal TDM XP and puts it up there with the other game modes (not counting challenges of course).

If we can get a solid team together we could run league play tonight if search doesn't pan out.

I can even try streaming to twitch tonight too.

With a team of 6 playing the TDM league play, we should win every match. Just do not rush the map so the enemy is spawing behind you and hold your half with some people who will effectively communicate would be a treat, as most of the time it's all lone gunmen running around everywhere.

if you guys see me online tonight hit me up if you need one more guy for league or anything but S&D or BTB, I have no intrest in playing Big team Battle

i only did the 5 match you need to get ranked and 3 out 5 we made the other team quite which in return hurts your ranking so im down

One thing we haven't discussed much for those who haven't been playing League Play, you have everything unlocked no matter your rank. So it is great when you first start a prestige, as you can have all your classes and with the big XP that you get in league play, you rank up and unlock everything for the normal game modes much faster. Knight Owl went from level 1 to 9 in one match of TDM!

Yeah it's pretty cool being able to test out class configurations against the public and being able to have access to all the weaps and attachments so you can figure out what you like and what you want to unlock and perm unlock in the standard MP. And the XP is great, almost closed out 2nd prestege playing a couple hours by myself last night. This might be my new game mode for a while.
