I saw this a while back. Not as good as the original trailer from Dead Island but I am still excited to see where this ends up going. Dead Island was a great co-op action RPG game. Definitely looking forward to this.

Is this an add-on to the original or a new game?

I'm pretty sure its a new game. I never finished the first so doubt I get this.

I just got Bioshock from GameFly (again, as the first one was scratched and wouldn't play). So I may be able to hold off on Dead Island until the weekend, or at the least start a new character to run with you all.

I didn't read up a lot on this game, but you can import your character. Which is good and bad, as you will have a strong character which means stronger enemies, but you have no gear, mods, or money.

I forget how fun this game is. A FPS Zombie Hack and Slash RPG- Yes Please!

Cool does your import start out at the same level? And do you have x amount of skill points already or are your skill unlocks still unlocked, I read the skill trees are different

They added very few skills, maybe 4 per "tree", so it's almost the same as before (besides the new character). You have everything the same as before, and can not respec your charater. They raised the cap to 70 or 75, so even if you were maxed out at 50 before, you have a lot more skills to gain.

I was reading that if you start a new character, you actully start at level 15 with the points to spread out where ever you want. I had a level 50 (Sam - the blunt class) and level 40 character from the first game as I played it 2 different times.

I'll import the 40 over with you all if you have a character in that range, or we can start new ones. My level 40 is Purna (the "gun" class), but I would like to play either the blade class or the new one (hand-to-hand). That's how I had 2 anyhow- one for single player and the one for co-op.

Bet ill load up the first game and see where I'm at I only had the blade class I think and was around mid 40s I think, I'll check it out, I got the special edition and you get an xp boost but idk how much

Yea, you should have been around 40 when you finshed the game. I reloaded my character to max him out at 50, but you will not get there even doing all the side quests in one play through.

OC- you played Sam B too right? If so, we could co-op with Purna (me), Sam B. (you), and the Thrown weapons guy (Droopy), as we should all be around the same level.

FYI since I got the special edition, if you join my game there is a special shop with discounted item and better chance of rare items

I got it too. I think anyone with the pre-order automatically get the SE. I guess we will pick you up after the race on Friday OC to bash some Zombies. We got room for one more!

My guy is the football star kinda a blade/throwing class. I'm level 40, I play the first dead island for about an hour yesterday so I could refresh myself with the controls.
