Nuketown 2025 no longer in public sessions?

Is this true? I won't be getting on any time soon so figured I'd ask. Is it true they've made it to where Nuketown 2025 can only be played in private matches?

i dont see its own playlist any more idk if it will fall under normal map rotation if every one has it or not

That's garbage, I spent many hours this weekend pwning kids on that. Oh well, domination on Carrier and Hijacked will do just fine.

I've been playing a bit of FFA today, and have never seen it pop up in the rotation. IDK what happened to it, but it appears gone from the playlists.

I think it was part of the launch week and then the playlist will come pack for ouble xp weekends and what not but the map may be in regular playlist mix now

Black Ops 2: Nuketown 2025 map pulled from online multiplayer

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map 'Nuketown 2025' - a fan favourite - has been pulled from online multiplayer playlists.

Posting via Twitter, game design director David Vonderhaar confirmed, "Double XP weekend is official over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. RIGHT? Don't kill the messenger."

Essentially, this means that the Nuketown playlist has been removed, and the map has not been put into circulation with other maps in regular playlists.

In a subsequent post, Vonderhaar goes on to explain that Nuketown 2025 will only be back for "special events".

"Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special events. You can always play it with your friends in Custom Games," he said.

The Nuketown 2025 map - a remake of Black Ops favourite Nuketown - was offered as a redeemable DLC map to those who pre-ordered the game and, was assumed to be permanently available for online play, not as an 'events-only' temporary map.

Looks like the map has been pulled except for special events and private matches, complete bullshit if you ask me. I'm glad my copy came early so I could play it this weekend.

Wow, what a screw job to get pre-orders. The ONLY reason I pre-ordered this and didn't just get it from Gamefly and buy it through them was so I'd be able to play the Nuketown map with all of you guys that were pre-ordering it. I guess the game devs get the last laugh again.

Nuketown was fun while it lasted. Now there's this "gun game" mode I played last night where the guns change every 45 seconds or so. You have to run around killing with each one. Not like "one in the chamber" or whatever where each kill changes the gun. This one changes for everyone at the same time. weird, but fun. It's a solo thing so no teams. Would be quite interesting as a TDM game.

Interesting choice. I wouldn't be surprised if they added it in for Team Deathmatch or something due to fan outcry.

yeah, in one instance me and this guy were doing the strafing dance with MP7s trying to kill each other --when instantly we both had a sniper rifle. We both stopped for a second like WTF? Shocked

and started again. I got the kill because after two or three shots I just danced closer and stabbed him. EPIC! I think we were both laughing at that.

That's been around for a while (last 2 COD games-was called wager matches in the first BO), and is really fun. When we get bored we will get a lobby of mostly all S7 members and play and it's a blast.

guys it's still there they just changed the name of the playlist its in. I think its called bonus...I played in in the regular playlist at the bottom. I played it this morning.

its in the mixer game mode for smaller maps and shows up alot of the time so dont worry

They probably changed their minds when the fans sh1t a brick about the map being pulled. Treyarch may have had the largest release for a COD game but see how many people buy DLC and passes if you take away a map that they love.

Speaking of maps that are awesome, I know its a IW map, but Shipment needs to come back. I'd like to see Rust again too. Gotta love ending practices with shottyfests on Shipment or KnFu on Rust.

Good to know it's still out there in rotation. I am fine with Nuketown 24/7 being a limited thing as long as the map is still in rotation on other playlists.

Played nuketown 2025 for like 8 matches last night. It shows up a decent amount of time in chaos moshpit. Went like 60 to 70 kills in each map and I put them on my file share.

Like in the original, I'm not feeling that map - too small, twitchy, and random. Not in my favs.
