thats right when blops two comes out cod elite will no longer have a premuim accounts u have to pay for it will all be free

as far as maps go there is 4 confirmed map packs

you can either buy one at a time for 15 bucks or the season pass for 49.99

Seems like they should've gone w/ this idea from the beginning.

I still don't know if they're doing enough to make me consider picking this up. Too much Halo on the brain, lol.

i do have both halo 4 collectors edition and blops 2 hardened edition paid off and ready to go and ill more then likely just pick up the season pass as well as cod will each my soul just as much as halo

That is really cool, so that everytone who does get COD can still play with and contribute to the clan on Elite. Then if you don't think you want to play it for the entire year, or get all the map packs, you have that option too. Much better, but in all honesty, they had to do something or no one would have bought elite for the online portion as it has been pretty much junk 50% of the time.

Yeah, I prefer it this way as well. I was not going to buy elite so I am happy with this news.

Elite blew except that all the downloads were prepaid. Now free elite and I will still pay for my downloads = no difference.

Elite became useful right at the very end. It was not really that bad of a deal, good learning experience for them. Looks like they got it figured out now. I will most definitely be using it.

Yes, it took 10 months to get it figured out, but there are still problems (matches and events not showing up) from day to day. Really, now that is it free it will be acceptable, before for $50 it was not.
