If you held the reset button in for ~15 seconds (until the lights started flashing), then you can just google your router make/model (ex. linksys e1000) and it will say what it will be.

Did that, and the first thing I did was look up what the default login was for my modem/router model.

If the default didn't work either A) Didn't completely reset it. You can do a hard reset by -Holding reset button for 30 seconds - Pull power out, keeping reset button held, leave unplugged for 30, -plug back in with reset button still held, keep held for 30 seconds. -let it boot.
B) If the router is from your ISP they could have loaded different firmware/custom os on it which would make it pointless to try.

Alright, I'll give that a shot. Not too sure if I'll even be able to make it Friday. There are some new work-related things going on and I'm not sure what'll happen.

So, was a ruling made on the car? I know it's the Cee'd bit did intone decide if we're making our own build, playing stock, or if there will be a community build like the IROC?

I think they decided to just go stock.

OMG this is gonna be TERRIBLE! The Cee'd is an ok car when you put some work into it, and in fact I almost used it in a tourney but stock it's gonna be nuts.

I was finally able to to login to my router. I found some website that showed there could be other username/password combinations that I haven't tried and it turns out that one of the combinations worked. So now I'm back to trying to NOT have a strict NAT lol.

Easiest step from here would probably be to set a static IP for your xbox, and then DMZ that IP address.

It's a set game mode where each team has one "mouse" and the rest of the team are the "cats". The mice race each other, first to cross the finish line wins it for their team. The cats try to stop the other teams mouse from finishing (or at least slow them down enough for your team to win). On top of that the mice are in cars that are at least 1 class down from the cats (usually two classes down I think) and get a 30 second head start to run for their lives. It’s definitely a fun game mode that we rarely play.

Ah, cool. Sounds interesting. I've played a lot of different varieties of Cat and Mouse across a bunch of games (loved StarCraft Cat & Mouse), so I was curious how it worked in Forza. If others are willing (and if I can even join a lobby), I'd play some cat and mouse.

Are there rules for the mice? Can they try to wreck each other, or is that only left to the cats?
Also can cats from different teams attempt to wreck each other?

Yep. Anything goes. You can try and protect your own mouse too. A lot of strategy goes into a successful team.

AKA both teams always get in a huge wreck and one team ends up pinned back long enough for the other teams mouse to get ahead.

I always thought it would be cool if they made a cat and mouse game where the mice are racing opposite directions for their laps.

Gonna try to stay awake for the "races" and I might play some cat and mouse too.

The wife is not feeling good and might go to bed early so I might make it for the event tonight.

Well... i set up the DMZ, enabled UPnP, did some port forwarding... and I determined that my ISP is an ass that will not allow me to have anything better than moderate NAT.

Will make a few attempts to join the lobby once everyone else joins.

1.) Xpert logs in on time and is able to join lobby (yay!)
2.) Peoples show up late and can't join cause Xpert is in lobby so Xpert leaves (sad face)
3.) Xpert can't join back in lobby (super sad face)
4.) Xpert finally joins lobby (yay!)
5.) Xpert cant join in between races in heated race and nobody wants to do anything about it (fah-ucking bullshit)

Sorry guys, got booted 10 seconds into the first heat for some reason and could only spectate after that.
