Fantasy Football 2012

Football season will be here before you know it, and I have created 2 leagues on Yahoo. One is a live draft league, and I sent invites to all who played it last year. I also have an auto-draft league for anyone else who is interested in playing.

If you haven't played my leagues before, there are only 8 teams. I also only have 5 players on the bench. Few teams and a small bench mean there are always some decent players out there on the waiver wire. This keeps it competitive all year long, as big injuries don't necessarily mean your team is shot. Also 8 teams means you play everyone twice, and the the top 4 go to the playoffs with the FF season ending before the regular football season reaches it's last week (so you are not stuck with subs or players only playing half a game.).

Currently I have the live draft set for Sunday Sept. 2nd at 10 pm. EST. It's the weekend before the season starts (first game is on a Wednesday or Thursday of course to throw everything off) so that you know who is injured form the preseason and who has made the starting lineup. I can change it for whatever fits, I just picked late Sunday night as most people are home then. That's the only thing we need to decide "early" as Yahoo only has so many slots open for live drafts. If you played last year but do not want to play the lave draft league this year, let me know and I'll open the slot for someone else.

Super geeked. I'll get my stuff set up here ASAP. Had a great time playing with this group last year and it should be another fun year.

Accepted my invite and I've just gotta set my rankings in case I miss the live draft. From what I saw there's supposed to be a mobile app for iPhones like last year but so far all I can find is the 2011 app (which has all my old 2011 info when I load it). Has anyone seen anything for 2012 or am I probably jumping the gun?

Would you please set up the all time leaderboard? Should be a commish setting.

Is there still room in this league miller.

Last I checked there was one spot in the live draft league, and several in the auto pick one.

I like the idea of keeping the draft last minute. Are there any plans to change it from 10pm EST on Sept 2? Just a reminder that weekend is Labor Day weekend. I'm good with the date/time cuz I should be off but I'm not sure if anyone is going to be out of town and not able to hit the draft.

Hadnt thought about it being Labor Day weekend - I probably will be out camping that night.

I might be able to move it to monday night if we want. I like to keep it last minute in the event someone gets hurt in pre-season, but the Thursday night game kills the waiver wire for the first week if we wait too long.

I completely agree. Is it possible to shorten the waiver wire for the first week and then go in and change the rules back to a longer period for the rest of the season? If not I'd suggest seeing who would like to make the draft that won't be able to if it's that weekend and change it only if there's a majority that won't be able to make it.

Miller if can i get an invite to the live-draft, also wouldn't mind doing the auto league as well.

I'll try to remember and send out the invites tonight when I get home. It's going to be a big gaming day, so hopefully I don't forget.

lol grats dude - should have had you on both, almost did on one but your kicker put up 20 - QQ - I also left a ton of points on the bench.

Lol yeah, I was pretty sure you had the one high scoring set. Logged on today and was pleasantly surprised.

Holy crap my team is a dumpster fire this year. I apologize to my opponents for the lack of fight my team is putting up. I just can't seem to get all the parts in the right place at the right time and it looks like the last two weeks I couldn't have won even if I had my bench points included. I don't think I've got much of a chance at the post season unless I win out and a couple of you crash and burn. Worst case scenario I'll try for the spoiler role.

It really early in the season- lots can still happen.
