S7 Ghost Recon Breakout Tourney
It's that time kids when you strap on your gear, belly up to the bar and show everyone what you're made of... IT'S BREAKOUT TOURNEY TIME!
With Ghost Recon taking off like wildfire, it's time to cash in on some of that fanboy interest and kick off our new game with an Official S7 Breakout Tourney. This has been put together as a "Breakout" event to celebrate the launch of Ghost Recon. The idea is to have a Tourney early on before we have a chance to really figure out all the maps, strats, etc. This should be a good chance to pwn your fellow brothers and get owned by them too. Without further ado I present...
The S7 Ghost Recon Breakout Tourney
Date: Saturday, June 16th
Time: Team selection starts at 9 pm sharp (EST)
Game mode: Conflict
Players: 3-6 players per team, depending on turnout
Maps: TBA (maps will be announced at the start of the Tourney)
Prizes: Official Inter-clan Tourney Trophy and a S7 Bottle Opener
Details: This will be a multi-round bracket-style Tourney, with the number of rounds depending upon the number of participants and teams. Team selection will be random and selection will start at 9 pm sharp (EST), so do not be late. Roll call will be taken and teams will be determined so members that arrive late may not get a chance to participate if they miss this process.
Once the teams are selected they will be randomly selected for bracket placement and Round 1 will begin. This is a single elimination tourney where once you lose you're out and the winners eventually advance to the championship match.
Non-championship rounds: Best of 3 games, each to be played on a different map (within the round)
Championship round: Best of 5 games, each to be played on a different map (within the round)
So that's the skinny. Do you have what it takes to shred your fellow brothers and rip victory from their cold, dead hands? If so, show up and put your skills on display and see if you have what it takes to be... BREAKOUT TOURNEY CHAMPION!

Yessir, and since Sunday is Father's Day it's kind of a nice way to kick off the day for all the fathers out there.

Re: S7 Ghost Recon Breakout Tourney
Unfortunately I can't make it. I have a soccer game at 8 central. I will be on to game about 9 central and will catch up with anyone not in on the tourny. If we have enough I would be down for a second tourny later around midnight, or poker would be cool. Also, I will be on all this evening (Friday), join me.

I'll make it to the scheduled time, and will attend the later tourney also (provided it happens)

Re: S7 Ghost Recon Breakout Tourney
It originally sounded like there would be enough support for a Late Nite tourney so there's nothing stopping us from having a second tourney at like midnight or sometime after the first tourney. We'll just have to see how many people show up and who's interested. I'd be up for a second tourney, since I don't work until Sunday night.

Re: S7 Ghost Recon Breakout Tourney
Just FYI I definitely won't be making it for the early tourney but as mentioned before I'll be on later to play either a later tourney or normal MP play.

Too bad you won't make the tourne but I bet a bunch of us will be on for some post tourney action, especially since a couple of us have been putting in a lot of time on Forza.

Re: S7 Ghost Recon Breakout Tourney
While the tourney started late (by an hour because only 5 of us showed at 9) and was a little rocky on working out the final details, Team 1 ended up prevailing over Team 2, 3 games to 1. Lots of fun was had and many people were hacked and ultimately we crowned our first Ghost Recon Tourney Champions:
Intersceptor
Kenny
Husker
AirCav
Congrats to team one on winning the Official S7 Ghost Recon Breakout Tourney and to OC for winning the S7 Dogtag Bottle Opener. Thank you to everyone that showed up for the tourney and we look forward to the next tourney!

Re: S7 Ghost Recon Breakout Tourney
I had a blast last night, sorry if I offended any one at the beginning I was just over thinking things trying to counter the "scout op" talk made me a bit to competitive.
I really enjoyed the siege games we played after as well good stuff. Siege was always a favorite in the graw days

NP OC. Originally I wanted the teams to have like 5-10 minutes in party chat to do exactly what you were trying to do. It sucks to have everyone the same class (unless it's OP Scout) or to have two guys playing the same class with exactly the same equipment. Everything ended up working out in the long run and we all seemed to have a good time.
