it's sad for sure but Corvette ships 60% of them in America with no clutch. The only one is the Z06 that demands 'you' drive 'you' shift and doesn't come in automatic.

Other than enjoying shifting gears yourself, the 2012 vette auto outperforms the manual unless you're A) destroying your car to get slightly faster acceleration or B) driving like a 90 year old lady going to church to get sliiiiightly better mpg. Something to smirk at? I would think not.
Understood, but unless you're buying "for the body" which apparently 99% are--then you buy a sports car to drive...and that means you're a car enthusiast and enjoys powering through the gears youself. If you're just buying a car to say "I have a 'Vette" then you have other issues to think about Rolling Eyes like low self esteem.

Yeah, I enjoy driving any fast car. Auto or manual. So a 2012 corvette is still a 2012 corvette. Granted it's always been my opinion that almost everyone that buys a newer corvette is a d-bag and as you said wants to 'have a vette'.

learned to bang gears years ago on a '76 4-speed chevy chevette (a car made before most of you were even born)...yeah, a thing of the past like a Gremlin.

Full auto, as in Drive, Park, Reverse bullshit or flappy paddle? If full auto, that truly is a crime.

Lol, ewwwwwww. What a waste. If you're gonna go full auto in a high-end car it should at least be some big luxurious bastard like a Maybach or a Rolls.
