No more prestiging for me
I thought I might keep prestiging this COD to keep the game fresh, but I’ve come to realize I need to stop at level 2. When I prestige, all I want to do is level up and make it to the next rank. I think I’m missing out on just playing the game. Now that I have everything unlocked, I’m going to stay here and play some of the lower point, slower paced game modes I enjoy like S&D and Hardcore TDM. But first I need to hit level 80! LOL.
Does anyone else feel like prestiging forces them to rush to the next level?

Yes, I'm currently lvl 60 on my 3rd prestige and find myself just trying to get higher. But the lower ranked weapons are actually better so I have only two classes. They are very deadly however....LOL

Arguably, you'll actually get more XP from S&D. Since it actually gives you 10 time more XP than what the score shows. It all just depends on how well you can do in the round.

Re: No more prestiging for me
I run 80% team defender, 10% TDM, and 10% domination....no longer kill confirmed (too much camping) and no S&D.
And I earn hella XP!!!!

You can, if you do well and the rounds go fast. Otherwise, on score per minuite, I don't know how it matches up. I like S&D, but like last night I had some invites to play, but only had about 45 minutes before I needed ot get offline. So I stayed on Kill Confirmed trying to get closer to that 80. That's when I started thinking- I'm just hooked on the score/points, and need to get away from this prestige business.

I'll probably work to prestige once and then I'll just play to get back all my weaps and perks I want. I don't generally like to prestige a ton b/c it takes me forever and I don't have the patience.

I think score per minute, drop zone, team defender and S&D are where it's at.

S&D is only if you do well, otherwise I agree on team defender and DZ. I just don't care much for territories and the variants. I have been playing DZ though, and it's lots of points really fast.

Re: No more prestiging for me
I'll continue prestiging and get as far as I can - who knows, maybe I'll max out for the first time ever. Nearing the end of 2nd now. If we get that 24 hours of clan double xp it will be a huge boon to push me up. Like Sticky, I get bored being maxed so prestige has kept things a little more fresh for me. I still use tokens to keep items unlocked, but I still have to go back through and unlock the attachments or pro perks. I pull the prestige trigger as soon as I can; it feels like I'm throwing away XP if I stay 80 longer than I need to, but I don't focus on the leveling - my focus is always on having fun 1st, winning 2nd, personal stats 3rd, and leveling-up 4th.

Re: No more prestiging for me
I have always tried to prestige as many times as I can. Mostly because I like doing all the challenges. With the addition of prestige tokens and the ability to unlock gear with them it's nice being able to have my acr unlocked right off the bat. So far I have unlocked the acr and dead silence and I will most likely unlock portable radar next.
When the game first launched I was like miller and all I seemed to care about was how fast can I level up. That resulted in a .88 kdr and now that I have changed my focus to just playing well my kdr has rose to .97. Well on my way back to the possitive.
The only thing I don't like about cod's ranking structure is that it's based more off of time played and not actual skill. I thought graw had a much better ranking structure as it actually took a players skill into play and not just how much time one played the game.
