Soooooo, T N Crumpets is gonna be around for another month.....

So, since it's been near enough a month since the 1337 haxXing of my account, I decided I would check my alternate email address to see if MS had sent me any more info, upon doing so, I see that they had sent an email on the 16th, giving me a link to reset my LiveID and stuff, pluss 2 free months of XBL and 200 MS Points (really, MS? 200? I'd rather you FedEx'd me a fresh turd). The most important part was that they were refunding the money - £136.

I thought this seemed a little low though, considering there had been quite a few 6000 point purchases bought, so I checked the MS history and the total that had been spent was £338.50, so it's like £200 short.

I ring XBL support and halfway through the convo, I have an epiphany, MS had only credited me the amount spent before the email. The account had been locked down at this point but the haxXors had evidently hacked it again and continued to spend. I guess I'm partly to blame for not checking my alternate email address every day for news...but it's Xmas and more to the point, in my opinion, at least, if an account is compromised and requires a new passwords and stuff like that, they should reset card info too.

So, now I have to go through the process again. At least now I have been able to get into my account and change the LiveID, so, hopefully there won't be any further purchases but it means I'll be stuck using TNC for online stuff.

Anyway, for the curious here's some stuff about what has actually been happening with the points.

According to the purchases history 30,000 ms points have been bought and all of them have been spent on FIFA 12 buying the ultimate team booster pack things - which, ironically has earned me some achievements for the game, lol.

Upon logging in, there were some messages from random people, so I checked their friends lists but only one of the two was visible, however, he had a friend that had also appeared on my friends list. No other new friends, just this one, soooo.....I suspect he may be the hacker. The email address that was used to try and gain further control over my stuff had been a Chinese one, so I'm not sure if it's some kind of illegal service offered from China or if this particular brand of email address has some other kind of benefits? From the look of the GT's, the guy is English - the stereotypical English gamer will have his real name/nickname in his take, will play CoD and FIFA in equal proportion and will have a friend list full of similarly named people, plus, a few hardcore CoD players who of course, need more 'pro' gamertags, such as xScOpeSki11Zx, etc.

Whilst the MS rep on the phone didn't seem particularly bothered about taking down this info, I'll be including it in an email to the XBL team, see if I can't help nail the f#cker - furthermore, I'll be googling the hell out of the dude, hoping to find something like an email address, twitter of FB account, etc. I will then drink some whisky and muster the courage to go on 4chan, where I will leave the motherfuckers info laying around, probably accompanied by some insults and e-peen swinging on the guys behalf. Afterall, revenge is a dish best served by somebody else.

Sux that you're still getting screwed by these guys and unfortunately MS is probably going to continue to drag their feet and screw you too, they are a large American corporation and that's what they do. Good luck finding info on the hacker and stick it too him if you can.

Tbh, MS have been pretty decent in regards of 'screwing me'. I'm pretty sure I'll get everything back but I think some of their protocols could use a review as it should never have gotten to this point.

I wish I knew how I got hacked in the first place though. Whether I was on that leaked list of XBL users that got hacked or if they got it through some other method. Makes me question the safety of everything else =|

I find it interesting that the greatest pimp from across the big drink was hacked to begin with....losing some of your pimp juice it appears.

In any case, while you wait for your account issues to be cleared on XBL check out some of my friends from your neighborhood...http://mocgb.net apparently there are at least a few people on that side that know what's real.
