Question about double weapon xp
Here is my question
When u use one of your prestige tokens for double weapon xp for two hours, does it unlock the gun also if u don't have it?
One of the web cast had one of the iw guys and he said that u could unlock a gun early with one of the tokens
I only have 2 and was wondering if anybody knew or if anybody has used one

Re: Question about double weapon xp
Hmm, that's a good thing to know. I wasn't planning on using a token for weap xp but it would be nice to unlock one of the top assault rifles early with the the double weap xp running.

Re: Question about double weapon xp
I still think its only the XP for the weapons unlocks. I think there is a different token for unlocking weapons or perks early. I have to look again when I get home, or maybe someone else can confirm.

Re: Question about double weapon xp
its only xp for weapons already unlocked
how ever you can use a token to unlock any gun (with normal XP) when you first prestige
so if you prestige and want to have the ak 47 all the way till your next prestige you use a token to unlock it

Re: Question about double weapon xp
Can you use multiple tokens? Like 2 tokens to unlock 2 "create-a-class" slots, and 2 tokens for 2 higher level weapons/perks?

Re: Question about double weapon xp
That weapon you use the token for stays unlocked forever right? Thats the way I read it, not just that prestige but across all prestiges.S7 Sticky wrote:its only xp for weapons already unlocked

Ooh yea. I wonder. Can someone confirm? It would suck to unlock a custom class slot only to have it reset after the next prestige.

Re: Question about double weapon xp
I thought the Prestige Bank video said that you would keep the weapon always unlocked (thru all prestige levels) if you used a token. Rewatch the video because I'm positive that's where I heard that.

Re: Question about double weapon xp
I need some confirmation, because if this is the case I might do several prestiges. Otherwise, I'm doing the one and sticking. But if I can roll out 4 of my tokens to have my perfered custom classes all built by level 20 or so each time, I would do it.

Re: Question about double weapon xp
good points all...
I used three of my tokens last night. I thought about using for weapons, but was confused like some others here on what I really "get" so instead I just tripled my time w/double XP instead. I figure if I rank up faster I'll get to the weapon I want sooner anyway...

Re: Question about double weapon xp
I'm not spending any on double xp, probably just on permanent weapon unlocks and custom classes. Double xp is so fleeting.

But are the weapon unlocks premanent? As far as I know that is still unconfirmed. But I am with you, I want something more long lasting.

Found this here:

Using those Tokens, you can then choose to “Unlock Gear” amongst other options. Unlock Gear “includes Primary, Secondary, Perks, Equipment, any stock item in Create-a-class,” Bowling says, although he goes on to note you “Cant carry over a pro perk. Only the standard version. You’d still need to get Pro again on it” and similarly with weapons “You just unlock the stock weapon. You’ll need to rank up and unlock everything for that weapon again still”. Once gear is unlocked though, you then have it available right from the start of every Prestige afterwards.
Man, this will make me want to prestige several times, as the reason i don't is I hate loosing my favorite weapons and perks. But with 5 tokens to spend, I would be set right off the start. It might take longer to prestige each time, as I would not hit as many challenges, but really that is no concern to me, as long as I can play the way I want when I am playing.
