Personal Forum Milestone
In an attempt to become more active on the forum and knowledgeable about the goings-ons of the clan, I have tried to check the forum at least once a day and usually it turns out to more that than. I appreciate more of the "inside jokes" and comments made by everyone when we're playing together. It's nice to not be the one in the chat that doesn't get what everyone is laughing about. I have been able to learn more about my fellow brothers and started gaming with some of the guys in the clan that I didn't regularly play with and have found people to help me get thru rough spots in games (ie. Atrum and Magus in Gears 1 & 2). Also, it's nice to know when the leadership and clan make changes to how practices and such are run.
That being said, I had kind of become interested in trying to get into the top 20 all-time posters. I didn't want to do this with a bunch of bland, garbage posts. Rather I've tried to take an active part in various threads and help to keep conversations going and welcome new members to the clan.
About a week ago, I reached the #20 spot and within the past few days I have crept into the #19 spot. While I know this doesn't necessarily mean that I'm a more active member, to me it represents that I'm trying to be more active... and that I spend a lot of time reading and "clickety-clacking" (as my wife puts it) on my computer. Most people probably aren't too concerned with this, but it's something that I've tried to accomplish and I plan to keep being active in the forums in an attempt to reach #1. Hear that Sticky... I'm coming for you!

Re: Personal Forum Milestone
Lol good luck on reaching sticky. I'd say that #1 spot is currently reserved for spammers/trolls.
I noticed the same thing when I joined the clan (then BBF) years ago. The group becomes a lot more fun when you read/post in the active threads, and from what I remember it's a lot easier to talk/jokingly trash talk during practices when people are familiar with your name and how much they can get away with taunting you lol.

Yeah, "Good luck" indeed LOL. As you may have noticed, I am currently in the #2 spot and even I can't seem to catch that troll. (And I am pretty active on the forums LOL!) Still, I am really glad to see you taking a greater interest. That is exactly what this clan needs. Keep it up. Top 10 should be very attainable if you keep it up.

Re: Personal Forum Milestone
Top 10 definitely shouldn't be too hard if you're active daily. I'm on the forums a stupid amount every day but don't post all that often and anyone that posts in most threads daily could get top 5 pretty quickly. Sticky and Interseptor have a lot of posts already, and they are always posting. Lower then that and everyone is fairly active so good luck.

Re: Personal Forum Milestone
That attitude is exactly what others need Puppet. I applaud you for not only doing it, but making it known that you're putting forth an effort to stay involved and remain active. I love that!!
I say don't worry so much about the post counts (I actually created this forum and Sticky has more posts than me...because he's a lifeless trolling bastard) so Just stay involved, stay on top of the latest chatter and most importantly stay gaming with us. I hate to see guys "drifting" off because many of the games aren't structured around a specific game night for practice right now.

That a good way of looking at things. On top of that being active means that new recruits will know about you, feel comfortable and assimilated, and could stick around better when they see good activity.
I just lurk a lot. I don't even have an xbox anymore but I lurk the heck out of the forums. I always have it open in a tab.

You best change your xbox situation for all these sweet new games. Especially if you've been watching the no-bloom customs that have been going on.

I haven't seen any no-bloom footage. Got any vod links handy where I can see a game of this sweet sweet justice?

That's some VoD from luckside's channel. I would advise following him and lurking the chat. I've seen quite a few pros/semi-pro's in there.

Re: Personal Forum Milestone
Luckside went live recording just recently. He's playing a custom with no bloom.
Dude...
DUDE.
It's beautiful. Really. It's better than I thought it would be. It's one thing to imagine a world without bloom again, but this is the real deal. Zomg.

Wow! I'm surprised by all the chatter this little post spawned. I thought there might be a couple comments and some people busting my balls about chasing Sticky but not this. It's good to see though.

even with a full time job, and a side job mowing grass, Josh will always find time to troll the forums and post nonsense.

Yeah, but that's kinda like rolling into every thread and just posting "Your Mom!" or "That's what she said!" They're only funny like the first 50 or 60 posts.

If post counts had carried over, I'd still be owning. As it stands Josh is #1 thanks to his endless rehashing of news we already know. C/o Joystiq.
