Not sure how this will work out but I can promise you that they did this because of BF3. Gotta love competition, it's great for us consumers.

Yup. BF3 called out MW3, only makes sense they'd try to add some more features. It would be nice if they can pull it off.

They said that they will have dedicated severs for xbox day one , I personally don't like 16 vs 16

The nice thing about 16v16 is that we could have all the guys in S7 prolly in one room when it first comes out and we could pwn each other instead of having to run a bunch of rooms. Something to think about.

Sorry but the dedicated servers are for PC only. Not Xbox or PS3.

That is right! Call of Duty: MW3 is getting dedicated servers! But, there is a catch of course. There are only going to be 2 servers… and unfortunately for console gamers, the dedicated servers are only going to be for PC gamers.

Yeah, I don't know much about how many servers are needed but with a game that has literally millions of users I would think that is a little on the small side.

Yea, I used it extensively for CS clan matches too. It was nice to have two boxes and two accts, but you also had to have two copies of the game (which I still do). Now with GameFly it wouldn't be as much of an issue.
