Today is a good Monday...

So, it's been a good couple of days hanging out with friends and doing some boozing.

Saturday night the wife and I went to see the Metro Cruise, which is a local car show where the owners then drive back and forth up and down the main drag after showing off their cars. Nothing too phenomenal but it's an excuse to hit the beer tent and watch some nice rides roll by.

Yesterday was my wife's summer work party. The company pays for all of us to go tubing down one of the local rivers. We spent 4hrs on a 2.5hr tubing route... adults + booze = longer trip. It was a blast, even though I got a touch of sunburn.

Today I picked up a copy of Gears of War: Triple pack and put in an hour or so before I'm now off to play 18 holes and possibly do some drinking. So far I'm pretty impressed with Gears and I'm disappointed that I didn't pick it up earlier. Hopefully I can plow thru the game and DLC before Gears 3 comes out. No spoilers please, I've never played Gears or Gears 2 (waits for the ridicule). And on top of that, since Madden is on it's way I was able to get a bag of one of my favorite Doritos Stadium Nacho, which are only available during the release of Madden.

Great to hear you're having a good one. Gears is a great series and even better 2-player co-op. In fact, in my opinion, Gears 1 & 2 are the best co-op games of this generation if not ever. Hit some of us up if you need a partner.

Love the co-op and story modes...now (GOW3) they stepped it up big with the MP too.

Yeah, I'll be more than willing to have a co-op player if you see me online when I'm playing. I'll probably get a good number of sessions in while mixing up time with Forza IROC practice.
