Free-to-Play Games

I figured we should make a little list of FTP games that we all could get and play etc...
Doesn't have to be a MP game (but its cool if it is...)

Team Fortress 2 - Thru Steam (of course)

Heroes of Newerth - Just became FTP, I don't know a whole lot about the game...
but i know KP was all excited about it when it came out...

Tinker - Free thru Microsoft Games for Windows... with the merging of XBL and Windows Marketplace
they are offering this game for free so go pick it up... cool little puzzle game etc

I play TF2 and have a few friends that are way into HoN. Supposedly it was great when it was pay to play and is still great.

I Wanna Be the Guy is a great FTP game.

World of Tanks I was really into.

I'm currently playing Global Agenda and I picked up Spiral Knights yesterday (both on steam).

I'm really liking Spiral Knights too. Cute, but I can see that there is a lot to do once the ball gets rolling.

I play a lot of League of Legends every once in a while when I'm feeling it.

Well what's kept me going since my Xbox broke in december is Allods Online... its pretty much a free WoW knockoff that if you have a few friends you'll enjoy. Guilds, stat trees, pvp, everything...plus the graphics are primo for a F2P MMORPG.

All I'm saying, is that when PSO2 comes out I am dropping everything and that will be my new crack.

So I downloaded and tried out the free to play Battlefield game, and while it is just like BF2 in terms of gameplay and graphics, there are some BIG problems that make it unplayable for me.

{}Lack of graphics controls in the front end. I can't turn the brightness or gamma up, or play in a windowed mode if I want. Or turn down individual graphics settings. Not having this control basically means I'm stuck with sh1tty graphics, even though the setting is on High. I'm not turning up the brightness settings for my monitor simply for one game.

{}Unable to change toggle ironsights, to hold ironsights. This, so simple a reason, basically makes the game unplayable for me. I don't toggle stuff, and because I have to toggle zoom I can't play comfortably, which kills the gameplay immersion and is overall wholly dissatisfying.

{}Can't play in windowed mode. No seriously, I'm that adamant about playing in windowed mode, I alt tab A LOT out of games to do things, so not being able to easily tab out of a game that plays only in full screen kills me. (Which is also why when I play LoL, I make sure it is the ONLY thing I'll be doing between matches.)

I'll keep it around in case anyone wants to play with me, but I'll stick to the other games I have.

Why play free BF when I have BC2, CS:S, CoD, etc...

i ALMOST bought SC2 today.... but fought it... and just said no...

I think I have a 2-day free trial card. Not sure if you can use it on the NA server or not though...? I'd imagine Atrum, Sticky, etc. may still have one of theirs?
