Long story short. The Koreans in the championship pool went 12-0 (matches) for the first day. HuK managed to take a game off DongRaeGu, though.
Oh, and the SlayerS clan have devised a strategy that DESTROYS zerg. Will be interesting to see if it works against DongRaeGu. Him v BoxeR would be awesome, especially after BoxeR took out IdrA with consummate ease.

Re: EVO 2011
So SlayerS as a whole just dominated zerg? I'll definitely have to download some replays and see what they did. I'm sure executing it will be beyond my skills but I would love to see zerg getting pwned again.

Re: EVO 2011
Yeah, I had a little go at it earlier against the CPU and it wasn't as effective. That said, the CPU is so different from an actual players, it's not a decent comparison. The CPU tech's super fast and gets a fair amount of static D, so if you macro, you dominate. Whereas another players will either be rushing or macroing, in which case, helions and helion drops are more likely to be successful, especially in the lower leagues.
The build order isn't too bad either and you can do a few cute add-on swaps to get stuff early. I'm sure there'll be a huge thread on the TL forums somewhere.

I watched this game from 40minutes onward, and Maaaan, so much macro. I have to hand it to Boxer that although he couldn't pull it off, it was pretty smart to attempt to force a draw, but he may have realized that option too late unfortunately.

Yeah, can't help but feel that the 'draw' play will become a lot more common ladder.
