NFL is back
I am so happy that football is back and sort of like the shake up it has given to the league.
Lots of moves going on makes for an interesting preseason.
Pats have traded for Albert Haynseworth and picked Chad Ochocinco
in another trade
Klown your Dolphins made a nice move to get Reggie Bush he will for sure bolster your running game and more.

Re: NFL is back
The Ochocinco thing doesn't surprise me one bit... surprised it didn't happen last year actually... Belichick and him have a strange relationship and i think this is gonna work out AWESOME for the Pats...
The Haynesworth thing was a surprise... but not really when you think about it... the Pats run a "3-4" but its a hybrid and they already have a Nose Tackle in Wilfork... you add another huge dude who wants to get to the QB and has something to prove... looks like another perfect situation for the Pats
As for Randy Moss, I've read things about him going to the Jets... or back to the Patriots... just think about that... if he did come back to the Pats...
Moss (if he does come back or not... whatever)
Plus: Welker, Ochocinco, Deion Branch, the 2 second year TE's (Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez), Julian Edelman, Brandon Tate...
If everyone plays as good as they have (or can play)... name a better receiving core in the NFL.... as they are now.. redic.. add Randy Moss from 2008 (and not last year) and that's just insane

Re: NFL is back
i was actually talking to a friend who "knows things"
he told me about the Haynesworth trade 2 days before it happened (I honestly didn't believe him at the time)...
According to "his source," the Patriots will sign (within the next 2 days) both T.J Houshmandzadeh (99% sure) and Randy Moss (60-70%)... Moss being more likely if the Jets do sign Nnamdi Asomugha
so let's see if he knows his sh1t

I kinda like the trade the Eagles did with Kolb for DRC..I really didnt like that we signed Vince Young...ESPN said he was to inmature and doesnt know how to throw the ball. We helped Vick get to where he is at now hoping for the same outcome for Young.

Re: NFL is back
Why would the pats go after Moss and Tj Houshmandzadeh. Right now I say they have a rather good receiving corps.adding TJ means less time on the field for the TE's and a totally different play style for the pats.

I glad he didn't end up in NY but now Philly has a nasty CB duo with him and rodgers cromartie. Super bowl, well we shall see. I still think they are missing a few pieces they need to focus on getting Deshawn Jackson to play, give the man a new contract

Re: NFL is back
It was great watching football tonight even though it was only a preseaon game and not many starters played. I actually enjoyed watching the younger Pats guys show what they've got. Guys who impressed me were guys like Stevan Ridley rookie 3 rd running back looked good running the ball and making catches out of the back field , also Taylor Price made some very nice catches. Good to see he is starting to get better , he was drafted last year but didn't really have much to show for his season. The last guys who impressed me was undrafted free agent LB Dane Fletcher. He was in on a lot of plays stuffing runs and busting up the O line.

He was a hell of a player at the end of last season as well... really looking for him to step up again this season
Re: NFL is back
How's that Haynesworth trade working for you? Don't be surprised to see him "laying" on the field after a play without getting touched...ask SurfGoon or AirCav the resident "Redskin" fans...LOL

Re: NFL is back
Right now he is on the Pup list with a few other guys just like every team has every year. The difference is he wants to play in New England he did not like the 3-4 D in DC (yeah he collected big money) So time will tell but he would not have played yesterday as most starters did not play.
