every day head phones/ ear buds
I am looking to buy some new head phones to replace my 3-4 year old skull candy FMJ's They are still in good condition Just looking for something new. I like the portability of earbuds verses on ear or over the ear head phones. So what do the audiophiles out there recommend. I don't consider myself an audiophile but know when something sounds better or not to some extent. I am looking for some thing with inline controls possible a mic for use with my iPhone but not necessary. Pice wise under $100 would be best but I would possible go between $100-$150 . Suggestions... What do you guys use?

Re: every day head phones/ ear buds
I really like these-
Klipsch S4i (well, I have the S4's, which do not have the phone controls)
And they are on sale at Amazon right now.

Some of the reviews say it's hard to get a fit, but I have never had any problems and you can use any tips and do not need to rely on the oval ones included. The bass is good and solid, not overpowering, but not weak like lots of phones. These really have a full soundstage, unlike some of the armature driver phones. Really great for the price.

I can post more later, but am late for church- LOL.

So far the two I have been looking at are the Klipsch S4i and the monster turbines both seem to be very good options

Re: every day head phones/ ear buds
I just got a pair of those too (they work with my BBerry) and are good as well. They let in more noise, and actually sit in your ear more like the standard ear bud than a canal in-ear phone. I like that they let in a little outside noise, and can maintain a good sound without a tight seal to your ear canal. The Bose run a little more than the others too.
Best bang for you buck is:
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD238-Headphone-Optimized-Players/dp/B001RNO92Y/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&qid=1311531174&sr=8-28
Those are amazing and what I listen to when no one else is around as they let some sound out and people sitting next to you can hear them (like on a plane). They are on ear, but so worth it and still portable. The deal on Amazon is fantastic- heck, I might pick up another pair at that price.

I have a pair of those that I used to use for guitar practice, then I got my 5xB's, tried them and feel that they're superior headphones. Little larger but more comfy and not particularly heavier.
Sony used to make decent earbuds, think they've slipped since then though...

If you are looking for earbuds, I have a pair of these and absolutely love the sound they produce. the Bose IE2 earbuds. The sound great and the different size tips are very comfortable and you can buy replacement sets whenever you need them. Best Buy also carries them.

Re: every day head phones/ ear buds
I know this is an old topic but I finally bought me some Klipsch image S4i's with some gift cards I got for christmas. They came today and they are great. I am listening to a cd that both interseptor and mrmiller recommended -Black Parade. So far they sound amazing and so does the cd.

Nice OC! Those are great buds if you can get the seal correctly for your ears.

I really like the handful of MCR songs I've heard, I should really pick up some of their albums.

Re: every day head phones/ ear buds
Dre beats are nice. A little to much bass for most of the music I listen to and about $50 more than the Klipsch I bought. So far I am loving my new ear buds and would recommend them to any one in the market for new ear buds for about $100

If I were you, I would opt for the Bose AE2i headphones. To me, they feel more sturdy and durable than Dre Beats, and the sound quality is amazing. There are two models; the AE2i is compatable with iPhones, otherwise go for the regular model.
