Anyone hear of the Barclay's Center? Empty Anyone hear of the Barclay's Center?

It's the new stadium for the NJ Nets. I just started working for the company that's building the entire outside enclosure. If you search for a picture of it and it looks orange or looks like rust, that's because it is rusted. All of the colored pieces are steel that has gone through a process called patina. It's a very controlled and time/labor intensive process of intentionally rusting the steel. The idea is to create a rust that doesn't hurt the steel but it actually forms a protective barrier for the rest of the piece and theoretically makes it remain stronger for a longer period of time. There are actually ancient Roman structures that have undergone a similar process naturally with explains how they've been able to withstand the test of time.
