MLB 2K Rosters
I know that most of you guys are playing MLB 2K11, but I recently got bored with the Cubs (my favorite team) and I decided to "tweak" their roster. I'm currently playing MLB 2K10, so I started with the 2010 roster and worked from there. I've made few changes to the pitching staff, but the position players are almost completely new. Here's my starters:
Adam Dunn - 1B
Rickie Weeks - 2B
Elvis Andrus - SS
Pablo Sandoval - 3B
Buster Posey - C
Nelson Cruz - RF
Denard Span - CF
Brennan Boesch - LF
Joe Crede - DH
Rotation:
Ryan Demptster - R
Cole Hamels - L
Randy Wells - R
C.J. Wilson - L
Carlos Zambrano - R
Relief:
Carlos Marmol - SU
Bob Howry - CL
I didn't change much of the pitching staff because I can do some damage with the stock Cubs staff (I pitched my first perfect game recently with Big Z). However, since I was trading away some older players and some salary, I was able to pick up some solid upgrades to the rotation, namely the two lefties. Also, I swapped Marmol and Howry because of Marmol's inconsistency as a closer and Howry's wide range of pitches. I know that Crede and Howry are currently not playing, but hey, they're available so I decided to use them.
My marathon trading session freed up about $40 mil in salary and allowed me to get my starters up to the point were my lowest rated starter is like an 80 and my highest is an 85 or 86. Also, I have some solid backups and my team has a mix of veterans and young players too. No matter how I set the lineup, I have enough contact and power skill to play longball games or to manufacture runs. I've got speed to easily get runners in positions to score and to turn most hits into extra base hits.
Anyhow, I thought it might be fun for people to post their rosters so we could share what players everyone is using. I used to do this via email with my friends and was able to find gems in minor league teams or players that were a backup or third string. I look forward to seeing what everyone else is using.

I have both 10 and 11, but not much time to play around with the rosters. I'll create a solid lineup and let you know what I come up with Puppet. Then I'll take them to the field and defeat the RedSox and OC just for good measure...LOL
