Starcraft II

Who plays it? I've had it for a week or two now. Been trying to practice a lot, not done any multiplayer yet, just been playing the AI getting all the hotkeys down and my APM up, working on build orders, unit compositions, counters, etc. I've been watching Husky and HDstarcraft on Youtube too. I'm averaging about 25 now over the course of a game and 100-200 (think the max i've hit is about 220) in combat, which is pretty decent, apparently.

Just bought a Razer Imperator today, which has improved my game massively as I was using an Apple Mighty Mouse before, lol. So there were a lot of mis-clicks going on.

I'm up for some SC 2 I never got into the hot keys and all but I'm down to just having some fun with my S7 Brothers

I play all the time. My advice is to do 2v2's with a random partner to get your builds down. 1v1's are way different but it's a good way to practice builds, micro, macro, etc against a real person.

Day[9] is the best to learn from by far. He does a live stream every day at 10 EST, and you can see all his archives on youtube. (search Day 9 Daily). He was one of the top SC1 pro's and is fun to watch and knows a ton.

I'll add you when I get on next. We can run some custom 1v1's, 2's if you want but I get annoyed by them. I'm in bronze but practice against gold and plat player a lot now and generally win, so just need to play more to move up. We'll do some games and I'll tell you if you should just start laddering. It is the best way to learn anyway.

i will need to reinstall it haven't been playing it because its a lot more fun with ppl vs the AI, i really need to work on pretty much everything

Realise it's a double post but I thought i'd share a little SC2 f#ck-up from earlier.

I was testing out some strats, BO's, etc. and I decided to try a proxy zealot rush, I assume Atrum/Sticky/Joe know what this entails but for those that don't it is where you build a pylon and gateway right outside your opponents base and rush your first units out, thus, securing military dominance. Anyway, I built mine at the bottom of the ramp and got my zealots out, no problem, it was then that I realised....I had blocked the entire friggin' ramp off and my units couldn't get in and attack. Epic fail. Literally. As expected, my economy was way off due to the risky strat and I gg'd out 9 minutes later.

I think that may be the biggest gaming fail that i've ever performed.

Haha that's great. Proxy gateways are the worst in base, but good players stop them. I had someone proxy double gate inb mine (still not sure when the probe got in, gotta check the replay) but between all my scv's and probably 1 marine at a time vs zealots I got him. Then he was f'd

I saw a replay on YT where the guy defended it and at the same time sent over a probe and built 5 cannons right next to the others guy's command center. I think you'd call that karma.
