Re: They like it.
So do I
I really really like this one. It actually gives me that old GRAW feeling, not the arcade (ish) fast paced feel that all the other COD previous games had. The visuals and sound are amazing to say the least. The amount of crap you can do is unbelievable with the weapons and perks....almost overwhelming. They put the time and effort into this one. Love the XP system...others have been doing this for awhile, what took COD so long? + they give you the theater mode + Zombies + a kick ass deep campaign and so much more...
My one and only beef (as some of you know from my blast last night) is the MASSIVE wait time to join a lobby. Miller, MCamp, and others I am sorry I didn't join you last night, but once I got into a lobby I didn't want to drop from fear of not being able to join another. The game is great, lobby wait time is sad.

I think (and hope) that it is just because the XBL servers were over worked. With any luck that will clear up soon.S7 K1ll3rKlown wrote:My one and only beef (as some of you know from my blast last night) is the MASSIVE wait time to join a lobby. I'm with you on that one I think if you dump 3 million people on all at once your going to have some over worked servers. Time will tell thoughS7 Interseptor wrote:I think (and hope) that it is just because the XBL servers were over worked. With any luck that will clear up soon.

I'm glad you like this one Klown...I'll get to see you more! I noticed it's a little slower than previous versions. I think the weapons are very balance and the recoil forces you to use bursts on some of them. Attachments help some weapons alot. I have work to do because I was getting the beat down last night. I havn't checked out the theater mode yet.

I'm not exactly sure how you patch what's is just an massive influx of players suddenly. I'm sure it will get better in time, the game has only been out for 3 days after all.S7 Coolhand wrote:The lobbies are still an absolute fail. Maybe they can patch this out - come on Treyarch! Fix yo sh1t!

I didn't have this trouble for 3 days in a row when Reach came out... They should have the servers to meet the population playing - simple supply/demand. And I demand it! I hope it is just a problem of them not providing the infrastructure needed to facilitate all the customers, rather than a flaw in the matchmaking system. So far I'm unimpressed. Love the game, but spending 30 minutes or more in a lobby is not fun.S7 Big M Easy wrote:I'm not exactly sure how you patch what's is just an massive influx of players suddenly. You might want to switch up your game types then, I can't say we spent more than a few min waiting in a lobby but honestly that's too long to wait. This game also isn't halo thankfully and I don't know how many people they had on the first few days but there were 4x as many copies of black ops sold @ my local gamestops as halo.

I honestly think treyarch is as surprised as everyone else and wasnt expecting this games popularity to be so large and thats why they are having matchmaking issues

Re: They like it.
The other night there were 3 million on, and we had trouble getting in games and last there was 1 million and we still could not get in game. I only had about 30 minutes to play, and spent 20 trying to get in a game with the party. So I did solo and ended up playing for an hour.
It's not hard to get into a game, it's hard to get into a game with an intact party. That needs to be fixed ASAP.
I think everyone needs to realize this is a problem, but once you get in a game it seems to work at least until the host leaves. So if you can just get in one time you are set. That also makes it hard to back out and pick up more players once you start.

Re: They like it.
I obviously agree with all being said...but the "It's tough to get 3 million playing without lobby failure" excuse is some serious BS and there needs to be no further excuses for mediocrity!
I get what you're saying Easy, but screw that. No other games have experienced this crap. Not modern warfare, or other COD games--not any of the Halo series, not Rainbow, GOW or any other popular game you want to name....EVER and it just has to be fixed. To hell with the excuses, fix your sh*t period!

I agree there is work to be done but I think some people have a short memory rainbow had so much lag I quite playing it in a few weeks as did several other members. I also tend to be the devils advocate and error on the side of caution rather than getting red faced mad about stuff. I can't fix anything nor can anyone else in the clan (unless we have some undercover treyarch guys in here) so I simply say we will have to wait and see. I do know we had better sucess getting a room in ground war than in hq and dom so I'm hopeful it will smooth out in time or they will add more servers.

Hey I'm with you brother. But last I checked $60 per game (not to mention the hardened edition, etc.) x3 million customers is $180,000,000--
So I'm not crying for them, as I think they can afford some decent servers with that little birthday gift...LOL

eh yeah well crap I can't argue with that one lol either way I like this one the best of all of the series. I'm sure it will get better soon as tryarch has always been good about fixing stuff as soon as they could unlike infinity fail. LolS7 K1ll3rKlown wrote:Hey I'm with you brother. Ok so I retract my previous statements I drove the bus for a while tonight which I don't normally do and the fail is strong with the matchmaking. Hopefully there is a planned fix and they put it in place asap.

Yeah like I said I don't usually search for rooms and it never seemed like it took that long to get a room but when I was the bus driver last night it took forever so yeah I understand now. Lol
