So who is getting Kinect ?

Just paid for mine, will have thursday. Will be fun with the kids, I think a cool future game would be live clan tag team wrestling/fighting(I can see having to use the couch to enable jumping off the ropes move ).

I asked for it for x-mas not really sure if I will go out and buy it if I don't get it for x-mas.

When I see a few games that I would want for it then I would consider it.

True for me too. I'm just not to excited at the games I've seen so far. The dancing game is pretty cool though, but I'm not a dancer. Also my space is limited right now - don't have a huge living room.

ya I'm not get the kinect, my kid is only four and if I wanna look gay Ill put on some skin tight pink acid wash jeans and a hello kitty shirt. the ONE and only cool thing about kinect IMO is the voice command functions. kinect, psmove, wii, are all crappy IMO if ya wanna play baseball, soccer, basketball or do some exercises, well then go play them for real outside with real people, not douche' ass fisher price avatards

now if I had more kids or they were older or the 'clan wrestling thing" came true then I would be sold

i am with oc when i game comes out that i would really want to play i might pick it up

i am just used to my controllers i play video games not to work out ...

As you can see on my gamercard, I have it. I love Dance Central, I can't wait to see what else they do with it in the future!

Well a week into the kinect and I'm having a hoot with it, easy set up and calibration( a must have ,if u have kids) even got my wife playing which is a first. I think I spent 10 minutes on the first screen for the sports title, just raising my hands and having thousands of spectators in the stands go crazy, lol
u can even make them do the wave by alternating arm movement. A good party and family add on. Word of advice check ceiling height before jump spike in volleyball, raked my hand across stuco , lol

I just bought a new xbox so I got the kinect bundle. It's hard to imagine that for only $150 you have this type of technology, makes you wonder what you could have for a little bit more $$. The unit calibrates effortlessly and recognizes movements correctly. The game that comes with it is a blast.
Anyone that comes over to the house, I turn on the xbox and show them the kinect and before you can blink an eye they are hooked and love it. My wife has started playing, friends wives have started playing. It's pretty cool.
I think right now there aren't that many games but it does look extremely promising. We just have the kinect adventures and the dance game. I'm going to pick up the sports game. Black was right about watching out while you are jumping. I hit my hand on our ceiling fan a couple of times already.
In the kinect adventure game, it randomly takes your picture while playing and displays it like those pictures you get from Six Flags when you ride the roller coasters. LOL!

I'll be getting mind come xmas time. Saw the box, but can't open it. I look forward to checking it out.

I played it at Best Buy and it is extremely fun! I played a boxing game and it copied my movements exactly...uppercuts, jabs, punches, Etc.

I just picked Kinect up with giftcards I had to best buy. Played for about an hour and the wife and I love it. She isn't normally into video games so this is a plus.

I'm really enjoying the Kinect. The adventure game that comes with it is very cool, as well as Kinect sports. We also got Kinectamals for our niece...she loves it.

The hand and voice commands maybe limited to certain areas, but they are cool features that are easily expanded with software updates. Also, the Kinect video chatting feature is cool for long distance friendships and family.

The biggest thing is that it gets the whole family into it, and off the couch. My wife and I haven't played video games this much together since she was still pregnant and we were working our way through GOW2 on co-op. Yes, my wife rocks! Plus, Kinect will give you a good workout.

So, OC, Sticky, get yo asses off the couch. You know that's the real reason you ain't getting it. As a fellow "chunky" man, I can say that. Now if you're feelin' froggy, get the Kinect, then Kinect Sports, and jump into the the ring, mofos. That's right, those COD skills aint gonna help you when I'm smackin' you around the boxing ring, or spiking a ball in yo face. Yeah, I said it! :-) Sticky, I owe you payback for all the times you've shot, stabbed, and blown me up in just about every FPS we've played together! It's time for real life skills, son.

I'm just impressed with how it get's my ass off couch, and it is all you, no controllers. Plus, you work up a sweat every time you play. It's a lot of fun!
